My display has a 59hz mode and 60hz
What do you set your display to for Emulation?

Isn't NTSC 59.94 but classic consoles run slightly higher then that and slightly higher then 60z which crt's have no problem running but modern displays do.
Different classic consoles ran at different speeds which old tube displays had no problem with.

What would be the best setting for matching speeds to original hardware?
Should create a custom Hz besides 59 and 60 using something like cru? Like something much closer to the console I'm emulating.

And how can I set in retroarch to switch to different refresh rates automatically?
Video player apps have the ability to switch display refresh rates depending on video content automatically so there's no awkward skipping or 3:2 pulldown, can I do this with retroarch also?

Does it matter or should I just keep 60z with V sync on for all consoles I'm emulating?

It doesn't matter for emulation, and you wouldn't notice a difference either way.

Unless you have an extreme hard on for 100% accuracy, even or things that will never be noticeable to the human eye, just set whatever to 60hz and be done with it.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma

you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
