the gts250 is your best bet for under $100, performs slightly better than the 4850. 5670 performs a bit under the 4770.

This one seems to be ALMOST as good as a 5770 according to various reviews I've read.

the 4870 performs higher then the 5770

I've read a tony of reviews on both cards.

Seems like 4870 outperforms 5770 in only some cases, but generally 5770 is better.
Also, seems like 4870 gets really hot and 5770 actually runs especially cool and uses less power than a lot of cards.

my 4870 on lowest fan setting (20%) gets about 45C idle
and about 58-62C on load, I have the reference heatsink

www.tomshardware.com does a monthly roundup of the best videocards in a wide variety of price ranges every month.

i'd just go with what they recommend.
