hey, isn't a little odd how its been a full day and there is nothing on gateway's page about the 9.6 update? couldn't they at least say not to update till they fix it?

Bummer, I never got round to updating all my games while 9.5 was current.

I also had the update nag, but luckily I had a very recent emunand backup :-)

Everthing I have read and experienced points to the updates not being region free. I have a eu MM and kept trying to apply the update and it would install but was not applied. When I obtained an EU it worked fine.

I would verify that they are region free. From everything I have read and my own (limited) experience they are not. That should not be a problem however because they are all available.

Only the Pokemon Company have been doing region-free updates, the rest of them are specific to each region.
