Yeah, luckily I had my screw set from the xclamp days B-)

Sure they can but its not technically illegal or something like that. That just means you decided not to update, no crime in doing so.

Woot, finally got that bitch off, here's the update of where I atm, just restored the save after I entered the gateway menu, not sure what that does exactly but its not setup for use

OK, Thank ya really very much, you helped a lot! :) Also, one last question, after installing the update cia, what I have to do, can you give me the steps? I am pretty much new to cias. Thanks. :D

Well after you instal the update via devmenu or big blue menu you basically turn on your WiFi and play the game. Just be sure not to leave the console in sleep mode because it will download the latest update.

You should make a nand backup just in case. Then make an emunand partition and unlink emunand and sysnand by removing the SD card and formatting the console. After that make 3 fake internet connections and youre good to go.

Why not? Its not like theres a game that needs anything above 9.0 anyway ;) Besides, who needs eshop when you can download all your updates from the web in .cia format. 9.6 is as good as 9.0 when it comes to GW if you ask meB-)

Except for the fact that not all online updates for each region have been released by the scene groups.

Ok, quick urgent question; for the: "Set up Emunand part"
It says have only the launcher.dat file on there now (http://maxconsole.com/maxconsole_files/v3.1.pdf)

Ive backed up my NAND to several other hard drives but there is a folder on the 32gb card called: "Nintendo 3ds"
It should be safe to delete that as the guide says only keep the launcher.dat but I don't want to make any mistakes, do I need to copy that to somewhere else?

Here is a pick of my "N3ds microSD card (32gb)" with the folder:

You can leave it there, I mean you can delete it but it will get created again since its the folder where the 3DS stores all the data.

Yes they are region free, as in you can install them on any system but the Pokemon X v1.3 online update for EU doesn't work with a North American copy of the game.
Thats a first LOL. Luckily the game is more than a year old and all the updates have been released by now.

The Nintendo 3ds folder basically contains all the eshop games downloaded to your 3ds in encrypted form. So, I might say that yes, backup this folder. :)

I apologize, it seems I was mistaken because my copy of the v1.3 update appears to be corrupt in some way. I found another source that works.

Thanks guys, I backed it up and am now formatting my fat32 32gb mSD card for Emunand wooot!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Hype train is going at 2040mph :D

Edit: In the meantime this R4 save dongle will allow me to play game saves from other games etc. which is pretty cool, ill experiment with that later

Damn straight! its 50% done with emunand formatting!
The next step is updating emunand which I shouldn't do because 9.6 emunand isnt supported right?
