Ok I have followed the guide, But it wont boot into Luma.
I still have launcher.dat file on root as this is needed for the 3ds to boot
The 3ds always boots into GW3d 11.20-35E.

Any help please ??

How did you get Gateway working in the first place? Did you do Gateway "fastboot"?

Yeah I followed the time machine instructions. So boots straight into gateway

Do you have a NAND backup from before you installed it? If not, I'm not sure how you can remove it. You might like to make a new thread.

Yea I have a Nando's file on the sd card. So should I restore that. Then follow instructions?

No, you can't use Freakyhax. Your 3 options, as stated in 3ds.guide, are:
- DSiWareHax, which requires an already hacked 3DS and an expoitable DSiWare game
- NTRBootHax, which requires a compatible NDS flashcart
- Hardmod, which requires soldering skills

I have installed luma finally on my o3ds. When. It boots it shows as SYS 4.5. I can access luma etc but don't want to update if it's not emunand. I have followed all the guides but says to update and safe. Do I need to create an emunand somehow first?

No, it's safe to update with B9S and Luma.

You can create an EmuNand if you want to, but updating is fine, you'd have all the features still, and nintendo's "Stability." And downgrading does work on 11.6, so if you want to you can go back again.

You can't use a NAND backup from a different 3DS. You probably can't brick it even more, so I guess it will just stay bricked.

Hi everyone Ive got a 2dsxl and an r4i-3ds gold and have downloaded the kernels v1.73b from r4i-gold.eu which I’ve added all files to my sd card plus a few games roms. The flashcard loads but when I go to games there’s none there. Can u tell me what I’ve done wrong please

I am in the process of following this guide 3ds.guide/finalizing-setup and for step VI it asks me to run a script in gm9. When I run the script it says 'line 2: unknown cmd' with a couple of weird characters underneath. I have tried the backup sysnand script and it has the same error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have installed luma and now finalising setup. I open download play. Switch the app. Close download play. Then restart and it payload exception. Any hints. I have the cia in right place

The flashcart only plays NDS ROMs. Are you trying to use 3DS ROMs?

yes I’m using 3ds roms. it’s a 3ds flashcard though so thought that was ok

No, it won't work. It's a NDS flashcart that is made to work up to the 3DS.
