In the U.S. Most major retailers have at least a 15 day no questions asked return policy on electronics. Do you not have that in Germany?

I already started the console, so the return policy is not applicable anymore.
Though I got another console, but sadly this one is on 9.4.0.

In my tests, the rom size doesn't influence the load time when I change the game.

Another question: Is safe to play online with trimmed roms? (I have a private header)

You can, but there are issues with nintendo detecting that you are using the improper system to play a foreign game. The games are region locked (especially in cia form) and will possibly be detected. I believe it will work, but you have the potential for a 15 day ban. I would suggest you just get the American cia of the game you'd like to play (if it exists).

I would suggest you wipe your sd card and reload all of the info you need onto it. Make sure that you have the proper boot files included with the gateway card, and in addition I would highly suggest you create emunand. The way to do this is to get a fresh (or wiperd) sd card filled with only the boot file required for gateway. Then once in the menu after launching the browser (or other methods) you go to format sd for emunand. This will prepare the sd for emunand, and once that's set up just launch it. This should get you to work, but if it doesn't post again with any info you can gleen from the results.


So here is a problem of my own. I would like to do a system transfer from my 9.5 O3DS emunand to my N3DS emunand.

Sorry for asking the question, but I would like to make certain that I fully understand the process before proceeding. I want to transfer my emuNAND from my original 3DSXL and get that data (specifically streetpass) onto my new3DS emuNAND. But at the same time I would enjoy having the same setup on the old 3DS allowing for basically a copy to be made.

My current status for NANDs is that I have:
O3DS sysNAND 9.2.0
O3DS emuNAND 9.5.0-22U
N3DS sysNAND 9.0.0-20U
N3DS emuNAND 9.0.0-20U

I in addition have backups of my emuNANDs that have the streetpass data that I want to transfer. But I don't think that is necessary.

I have two gateways right now, and can access two emuNANDs at the same time with them.

The process I'm thinking of following is:

1.) backing up all nands and SD cards, and copy the emunand from the origional sd to a new one.
2.) with a freshly created emunand I would update the N3DS emunand to 9.5.0-22U (same as old 3DS emunand) using 3DNUS
3.) attempt to do a system transfer.
4.) if all goes well have the info I want on the new emunand
-------Then to restore my old emunand------
5.) copy the same files back into the old sd card including the extracted emunand.
6.) plug and play it all back again.

Is there any info or interesting knowledge that I might be missing, and in addition would this method work?

Also I will get a gateway a day or two (and a sky3ds for cubic ninja exploit), I will initially be using a 16gb micro sdcard I have on hand but will upgrade to my larger 32gb sd card once it arrives on wednesday. Is there anything I should pay heed to before swapping out my initial 16gb sd card for the 32gb if I play around with my gateway using the 16gb card first?

Your fine. There are a couple of methods to transfer your content. The fastest one is using Emuand tool and copy pasta for the folders. There is also a sticky on using an image.

That should work but I prefer the r4ids.cn card as it has less update issues.

With the new gateway launcher that supports emunand 9.7 I would be able to use it for CFW (you know 4.5 then install legit cias like smash bros, then update to 9.7 to play it) or I will need to keep using rxtools?? (no gateway card here).

Also anyway to clone your sd card to a bigger one without messing with the emunand offset so emunand tool (dualnand too) can extract inject them without issues???? i believe someone should made a tool for this, Not me Im just a dog using the internet.

As of right now the safest methods are to either be playing a game with your private header (taken from an owned game), or to play the cia. Neither have had reports of people banning them, but always be cautious to be playing the right region when playing online.

technically rom + header because nintendo could, if they wanted, see your eshop log to see if you bought the eshop/cia game.
but if it is a 3ds rom/physical style game, that does not matter

My only suggestion is to get the patches from a source other than the eshop. It is much easier to do it that way. You will not be able to use the same mSD card because emunand is console specific but you could use funkycia I believe.

Nope. You have to use the serial number thread and trial and error. Make sure you only purchase from a retailer with a rock solid return policy.

Nope. See above. I haven't checked eBay in several weeks but there used to be plenty of sellers that would list them with the SN lot.

It is decrypted so it should transfer fine within region. There can be some issues between regions on some games.
