I asked this before, but no one answered.
I was wondering if there was a way to upload homebrew through an SD card (like putting it into the 3ds SD card slot) rather than buying a 70 dollar flashcart :/

no

edit: the official gateway distributor sells them for 59 dollar :D

Fu... I really hope then atlus doesn't give the dlcs for free on smt iv europe for the late release... Although now that I think about it since I have already beaten the game I could just abuse the exp one then go straight for the story/op demon ones

hi :)
i've read many different Homepass tutorials but still i have no idea where to start :|
i'm using a laptop and i have a wireless modem(i usually use an ethernet cable to connect the modem to my laptop) and i use Windows 7.(i also ahve an android phone if that matters)
my question is,do i need to buy another device to use Homepass?
and what's the best guide for total Noobs?
there are so many different guides and tutorials around the web,i don't know which one is better and more simple.......

thanks i advance

Let's say I go to Settings > Internet > SpotPass and disable Automatic Software Downloads. Does this block the automatic download of
-System updates,
-free eShop apps such as YouTube,
-and SpotPass downloads for games I own (meaning that I won't be able to get these, as they cannot be manually downloaded)?

Pokemon X/Y seem to be the only games with non-region locked saves. Not sure why this is the case, it just is.
Because Pokemon X and Y is one of the few games to be completely identical regardless of region (aside from the region locking). That why loading the Japanese version of the game still lets you select language, and vice versa.

Yes, you can just buy a $10 DS-mode flashcard instead (a 3DS compatible one of course), install one of the "ROP Loader" .nds exploits, and load homebrew in the Launcher.dat format. The homebrew you can run will be limited to ARM9 though. Or you can wait for Smealum's exploit and homebrew loader.

yes that is correct, but also before you do anything pick "backup nand" from the menu, this will dump a file named nand.bin to the SD card of the 3DS power down and copy this file off onto your computer for safe keeping.....this is your only safty net if you mess up along the way, but as long as you do what you said there should be no issues

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
