lol you aren't helping your situation, "dev units" can't make heads or tails of retail cartridges/games, it may as well just be corrupt garbage to those, and by that I don't mean some minor glitch (one would think you've never seen glitches before) the game wouldn't even bootAlright I should probably clarify by"hack" I mean possible dev unit or the like that had some early code which would explain for games running fine except for certain pieces.

Yes I get what your saying its a buggy demo and I probably shouldnt ahave picked it but the fact is these types of things happen in full retail games also and they arent random occurances like you mentioned. They are very consistent, repeatable and dont change. Also I have found no reports of them occuring in other peoples games. If it really was a graphics problem wouldnt it be different problems everytime? Why would it be that taxing 3d enviroments can be rendered fine and certain small textures have problems. The Kingdom Hearts 3DS demo is stupidly buggy, I managed to glide infinitely and go so high that I could no longer see the ground, Ive not been able to do it again though, another time I made loads of dream eater 'Illusions' that would stand there doing nothing but lagging out the game.
I've not been able to replicate these though.
I would not be surprised if the Kingdom Hearts 3DS demo is actually a living game that can mutate and become new games...
Its very logical...

If you're interested in understanding a little back history to the hacking of the 3ds, look here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-3ds-hack-compilation.340296/-snip-

... the certs don't check individual shaders like that, and if it only happens sometimes then it's not missing from the actual game data.Ok I did some reading and all very interesting but I have been thinking more and more maybe its a shader missing because its definatley not overheating. Now the certification for the software must not check this certain shader of the graphics chip therefore allows it to play. There is a hole in the certification. If you were able to locate it wouldnt you be able to put anything you want there?
As a matter of fact it happens as if it were missing from the game data, which is why this is so puzzling.... the certs don't check individual shaders like that, and if it only happens sometimes then it's not missing from the actual game data.

Nope tried a monster hunter ultimate 3g 3ds retail cart on mine encountered graphical glitches in starting tavern area then went through mogi woods, fought monsters etc. found nothing. Rebooted to make sure and it happened in the same place with no deviations. Tried the cart on my cousins and works with no errors in the tavern area.Does it do it with the same cart in another system?
