Have you ever got a video to show it or a beta version for testing?
It's in beta right now. Anyone can download and use 2.0b2 on their GWs currently. In regards to an internal beta with multi-rom working, no, obviously I don't have access to that. But you're simply deluding yourself if you think Gateway is going to make a post about 2.0 final on their official site with a release possibly only days away and lie about features to be included.

If 2.0b2 was going to be their last release, they would have simply released it and never have been heard from again afterward.

It's almost impossible to program gw's FGPA with the pictures listed above.
Therefore, it's very difficult for gw team support multi-rom and make nand save games work.
There is little hope.
Maybe 2.0b2 is the final.

However, gw team still does very well in the past months.
You can gain access to over 400 3ds games by paying them only 80USD.

I don't get what you are trying to prove with this exactly... here is mine:

So yeah... kinda confused lol.

anyone know if the all black (black/black) 3ds xl's are on 4.5, or are they higher firmware out of the box?
They are all 5.X and higher. Although you can do what I did and swap the internals of a 4.5 3ds into a black/black one.

I just want to prove that the fpga on the gw card can not be programmed .
That's all.
Tranfeer. Look, we all know from your post history you're an r4 Gold team member (and you do a good job at that).

However, because of this, we can only expect you're rigging a bogus FPGA test to make GW team look bad in comparison to r4iGold Deluxe. FPGA means Field Programmable Gate Array and thus, by nature, it is programmable. Additionally GW team hasn't lied about any of their previous feature claims so why would they start now?

Look at the bright side, pretty soon you'll have a new launcher to clone for your team so turn that frown around okay? :P

I don't understand why you guys are arguing about this.

The link below shows the internals of the Gateway Red Cart including the FPGA. Just scroll down for the pictures.

If you're too lazy to check, it is an Actel ProASIC3.

All you need to do now is check the FPGA's documentation.

Take special note of the Reprogrammable Flash under Features and Benefits.

Based on this, I would say I am inclined to believe that the FPGA is reprogrammable. Take note of the FlashLock feature, however. It is potentially possible that the FPGA will not be easily reprogrammed if it is set to secure the FPGA's existing contents. You would need to know how to unlock it first.

Specific games don't work, like Pokemon Emerald (Did I guess your game? :P). A lot do though, but some of the good one's don't.

What are you talking about? There are no gba emulators on ds mode unless you use dstwo..
And he is talking about emulators not running... You ae talking about games...

mhhh, "additional feature that will hopefully put an end to any accidental updates of consoles" (17/12/2013, gateway news)
is this "Integrated menu system" ?

I have showed 2 pictures to prove it.
Is it enougth?

no not really.
Because you showed a picture with the intergrated gateway diagnostic test. It doesn't prove anything about being the FPGA updatable or not. According to the documentation from that FPGA chip it is, soI assume it is updatable

Nop, I think they worked on something to maintain their hack (GW mode and general EmuNAND) after exiting System Settings, that must be what bricked their guinea pig 3DS multiple times before the successful result.

Makes me wonder what the Gateway team means with "early 2014 days".. For all we know, it might be a few weeks to months from now ^_^. I can't wait for the final release though. It's the only reason why I'm holding back on updating my 3DS (gateway) to the latest firmware.

It does concern me though that a few people around here are talking about "impossible" to update the gateway card's hardware, making a few features they mention impossible without a new card.

I'm surprised no one talks about the newly mentioned real time save feature. I'm curious how they will do this (key combo or in-game menu).
