I have heard a lot of people saying that there will be issues because 3DS roms are going to be fairly large files, roughly 2 gigs, but couldn't flash cards just to something similar to the psp microsd adapter. In other words 1 flash card, 2 microsd slots... thoughts?

We have no knowledge of how 3DS roms will be played, and likely the roms will be trimmed. not all 3DS games will be 2 gigabytes. In other words, we can't say for now, and file size isn't the problem.

Well, probably using a SD card (regular card), and put one game on each-maybe people will sell them- still cheaper than regular 3ds games

We aren't expecting a 3DS flash card soon, we are just talking about what it'd look like when one is released.
Off topicish: What is the general census on not "soon" that is, if we are to guess, what is the ETA of the first 3DS flashcards? fall, winter, next year?

How the hell can we know. No one here is making the flashcards.

On topic: Wouldn't they simply use MicroXD cards?

3DS carts can hold up to 8GB of memory, hence i bet some games will already be 2 gigs.

3DS roms will be however big the game is. Just like DS games, there will be tiny games and there will be games at the upper limit of whatever the current cart size is, right through the life of the system. The biggest cart developers can put their game on at the moment is 2GB, but that doesn't mean they'll use all that space.

It will take some time till 3DS flashcards are out. So there will be bigger SD cards by then.
Furthermore it will probably be like the PSP or Wii where you can play games directly from the 3DSs internal SD slot (for PSP it's Memory Stick and Wii HDD ofcourse). So you won't have to rely on small micro SD cards.

Well, we haven't even found a way to dump 3DS saves yet, so dumping 3DS ROMs is not going to happen soon.
And no 3DS ROMs = no emulators = no flashcarts = no homebrew

I think people just have to buy those expensive 32GB MicroSD cards.
