there was already one of these on ebay and the same thing as befor it is missing what is in the pic above the ctr flash card 16mb , you NEED that, so the ebay listing saying it is a 'dev kit" is a bit of a misnomer, because a kit implies it comes with something else besides just the dev unit ,like the flashcart, but it dont, its the same as before , just a dev unit , with no flashcard , but funny in the pricelist it says the flashcard is ont 85$, i mean does the flashcard only work in the dev unit? would having one bring us any closer to an actual flashcard? beccause if you had the dev unit ,maybe you could call ninty and try and reorder a flashcard, just call up and say you are on the panda team an give them the SN on the back of the dev unit, unless there is some sort of password for ordering this stuff, which is probably the case

You really, really, think that dev teams would call up nintendo's CS lines to order parts for their dev units?

who knows it is really far fetched but hey you never know , you would need to talk to a dev and ask them the lingo and what not , maybe you caould get it down and work some scial engineering magic
that is how hackers back in the day got a lot of shit done, social engineering

No. No. No.

Just no.

They'd ship it to Panda, they wouldn't ship it to you.

No, this is not possible.
To order anything, you have to login to WarioWorld with your developer's login and password, and you can only order stuff to the address that's specified as your company's secure office.

well guys all i can tell you is Dev units only play unencrypted data which can be transferred to the SD card
tongue.gif
for debugging purposes and transferred back when better

its the reason it cannot play the retail games

you just import the data from SD card slot
(same way you update the Dev unit also)

This is going a bit off topic but, did anyone hear what happened to that other kit that was being sold on ebay?..was that a Dev kit too? or was it more of a possible ROM kit?

**Ahhh my bad, just looked above a few posts >_

Any idea why it's called Panda Development Model?

I'm guessing he doesn't know anything about Nintendo development hardware.

The Panda is the DSi test unit. The unit has a black top and a white bottom.

No. You don't know anything. The Panda is the 3DS dev kit. Says so on the box they come in.

And the other one that was on ebay sold was sold to a collector.

Probably for the same reason why the DS one was called ISNitro.

I wouldn't be that much interested in this model, I'd be far more interested in the one you connect to a monitor for some sexy full-screen action. That is, if one exists.

The DevUnits are made by the same company (Intelligent Systems) so I'd assume that they're making the same "set" of tools.

They had 3 tools for the DS, 3 tools for DSi, 3 for the Wii, I can only assume that the 3DS is no exception here.

no 4 development tools are inside (all are more or less pointless for homebrew so don't expect anything) + dlplay (download play) + DS internet + config + a way to start a development cards
