Hacking 2ds Formatted. Can I use old Nand backup?

So a week ago I broke my new 2ds and the top screen was broken. I turned it in to my local repair store and they formatted the 2ds D: . Can I use my old nand backup once I hack it again or is my files as good as gone. (note I backup my sd card prior to turning it in)

a format isnt going to remove cfw. run the finalizing steps from the guide. Then you can use the nand restore from there.

As above, yes you can restore the backup because it is from the same console (as long as the repair shop didn't swap motherboards on you).
