Guys, thanks for summoning me, but I recently got the holiday sniffles and will be in-&-out with bed rest.
Use the latest GodMode9 v1.7.1 found
here or shortcut with the starter kit found
here.
Until I'm well enough to catch up on this thread, my current advice is to make backups of these:
- SysNAND *.bin image: GodMode9 → (HOME) → Scripts... → NANDManager → <X> Backup SysNAND
- EmuNAND *.bin image: GodMode9 → (HOME) → Scripts... → NANDManager → <A> Backup EmuNAND
- Nintendo 3DS folder
Place these copies somewhere safe on the computer, so that you won't inadvertently lose data permanently in case a mistake is made.
Restoring tickets is a tricky affair when it comes to finding the correct NAND with the exact
movable.sed, especially when doing
System Transfer,
Format System Memory, or EmuNAND. As long as you see X's in
System Transfer → Data Management → Nintendo 3DS → Software, you'll have a high chance recovering game library and progress barring nothing else is wrong with the 3DS.
There are other methods in restoring tickets with shared
ticket.db acquired from
those [...] sites (I've never successfully found these), or decrypting and dumping saves with
fuse-3ds and
3ds-save-tool (if you know basic Python, copy and paste lines of code).
For another, somewhat round about way in restoring tickets and saves, here's the story of tj18's pilot program in recovering his setup:
