What happens if you insert the SD card into your 3DS and hold START on boot?

Are you still using A9LH? Keep in mind that it requires your SD card to have special files in it in order for your 3DS to function.

I don't think so. The SD card suggests B9S. (boot.firm)

Wait, so... the screenshot you uploaded is the card that doesn't work? That's weird because it should.

Unless you really are running A9LH. But in that case, you probably wouldn't be on 11.8...

Try downloading the 7.0.5 version of Luma and copy the arm9loaderhax.bin file to the SD card that does not work. (It probably won't work, but I'm out of ideas otherwise.)

Maybe the card is corrupted somehow.

Well, you could also try to reinstall or update FBI. Perhaps that's what causing the problem, I remember having similar issues before updating said app. Just use the SD card that works and download the latest version of FBI.

when i open FBI and go to update it says "Failed to check for update."

The first message means you didnt set up the ctrnand. The second message could be that you have the latest FBI which is 2.5.2

I'm testing already
