Hacking Misc ROM Hack LayeredFs crashing on applying patch

I'm trying to apply a custom villager mod I made for animal crossing new leaf, but the game crashes on loading the villager. The mod is confirmed to be working by an external tester, and my file path is correct luma/titles/0004000000086400(and 0004000000198F00 ive tested both!)/romfs/. crashes every single time. game patching is enabled. i cant think of anything on either of my consoles that might be conflicting with layeredfs, but if theres a known cause please let me know, i think ive tried absolutely everything under the sun troubleshooting-wise. if any more information is needed please let me know!

Maybe you should provide some more details about what that means?

Perhaps you should try applying a different mod and see if that works.

hi, sorry for not being specific, another animal crossing modder tested my mod on their system and confirmed it works as intended. other mods for acnl are not working on my system anymore also, i havent tested layeredfs outside of animal crossing

There are several different versions of Animal Crossing. Are you sure you both have the same one?

Does that mean that they used to be working and now they stopped working? Are you sure your system is back in the same state when they were previously working?
