Hacking How can I get my R4 SDHC cart to boot with more than 500 games?

I have this R4 SDHC cart, and it's running what I assume to be Wood v1.62 based on the changelog.txt file on the root of my microSD card. It runs games well, and I generally haven't had an issue with it. That is, until I added a large amount of games to it. Once I have about 500 games on it (more specifically, somewhere between 500 and 512 games), selecting the microSD option on the main menu doesn't do anything. The UI continues to update, but it never loads the list of games.

Does anyone have an idea of what I can do? I'm happy to flash alternative firmwares if they're able to handle a large amount of games.

For what i think, this is the limit of games that the current firmware of your R4 Can handle. ( Interface wise ). Srry if i wrote something wrong here. English is not my first leanguage.

Actually, try YSMenu.
YSMenu is shows the name of the game file, as normal, but it only shows the game icon when the game is selected.
Try YSMenu.

Use folders. My SD card currently has every DS title released in America and Europe on it, but I have it separated by the name of the game itself. Here's an image to show what I mean:
