OK,

I've softmodded the wii, I've partitioned a hard drive for fat 32 and wfbs, and put usb configur loader on my sd card and installed the channel

If I am only going to be playing games of the usb drive that I own and install myself, do I need the darkcorp wad? and what wads/iso do I need to make sure I have installed?

TIA

1st thing you dont need a WBFS drive anymore :) you can convert all .ISO to .WBFS extension which is the same as having them on a WBFS drive only FAT32 compatible and yes it saves the same amount of space as if on a WBFS drive. Now that that is out of the way :) DARKCORP as mentioned above is just modified IOS which some believe to be a little less stable then originals. I would only patch IOS36(for homebrew of course) & your System Menu IOS(necessary if you want to play WW VC from SD card; only ones you install by WAD). System Menu 4.0-4.1=IOS60, 4.2=IOS70, 4.3=IOS80. These are not necessary but if you do decide to patched these 2, i would recommend ModMii found here --> http://tiny.cc/ModMiiGBATemp or as an easier alternative would be...

There is no darkcorp wad. DARKCORP is a package of illegal and patched IOS that will allow you to play burned discs via Disc Channel.

CFG-Loader just needs a cIOS to work, so make sure you have at least one cIOS installed. Check softmodding guide for instructions how to install cIOS.

Also note both programs will be sufficient. I know this is all a little off topic and im sorry i just want you to know of other ways to do this w/o DARKCORP and what the recommended IOS to patch are.

If you worried about coping games from wii to ext.HDD dont cause if it will automatically convert to .WBFS extension if your using FAT32 but if you have a list of games already on WBFS you can convert them using WiiBackupManager found here --> http://tiny.cc/wbackupm this is perhaps one of the best managers to use for backups and it does drive to drive convert.
In options set to split files into 2g and i usually keep the full partition of the game never had a problem before when playing mine. Hope this all helps a little over the top on info, more then what you possibly may be wanting but hey knowledge is power :) Good Luck

Also i should note your not limited to the amount of space you have for wii games and other things.
