  • Cool. Anyway, I remember the second Pokémon movie about the legendary Pokémon, Lugia. Why? Because Lugia is from my version of Runaway Reptar. And in the GameCube Pokémon game called Pokémon XD, an evil scientist has created the evil shadow Lugia.

Nikokaro, I know lots of childhood shows and movies from the past. But my favorite childhood movie besides the first Pokémon movie is the Rugrats special, Runaway Reptar. Not the CGI version of the show. Because I don’t like the reboot show.

Nikokaro, in my favorite episode of Pokémon chronicles, Misty’s Psyduck gets to eat the Pokémon food from a bucket. Because it’s just like a talking Riolu gets to have his own lunch.

Wow. I know that. Anyway, back in 2005, there’s a Pokémon movie called Destiny Deoxys. And my favorite scene is when everyone and shy Tory gets to play on the playground at night. It is just like a birthday party for Tory.

The first game in the series I played with was Mario Bros (1vs1 arcade game), in the bar near my school. Later I bought a NES console with Super Mario Bros (platform game) included in the package, and later S.M.B.2. Then the first Game Boy B&W (DMG) and Super Mario Land. These days I have fun with Mario Kart DS CTGP! B-)

Nikokaro, I know lots of episodes of Pokémon and Hamtaro. Sometimes I create fan fictions of my two favorite anime shows with my imagination. Because I always do that in case I get bored. Speaking of that, have you watch my favorite episode of Hamtaro about Mimi’s midnight birthday party? It’s similar to my version of the episode.

Unfortunately Hamtaro is not my thing, but sometimes I see, with my little son, the mecha series of my childhood (Mazinger, Grendizer, Getter, Jeeg).B-)
Lucky you that you can let your imagination run free; many of us have long since lost that privilege.

I removed carpets and PVC flooring on the attic… and found a lot of work below.

Hi, but how come you say you are not able to do much? Have you not been well? I'll take this opportunity to tell you that I had covid19 for the third time, but this time more severely, with fever, aches, sore throat and breathing problems (I'm not vaccinated) but I refused to go to the hospital, ready to accept the inevitable...but after 2 weeks I recovered. Thank God.🙏😇

Thank goodness there is more social sensitivity to bullying and harassment these days, and it's easier to get help. It used to be that people would pat you on the back and say, "that's life, you have to fight back, stand up for yourself."....

@Nikokaro I meant online bullying... And I agree that it should be easy to ignore. But some people really have a way of finding people's weak spot, and there have been many suicides as a result of online bullying.

In a way, it's more serious than real life bullying... Because at least you can't be bullied in real life when you're at home, at least you get an escape, but if you already have real life issues (can be unrelated to bullying) and the Internet is your escape, and you have online bullies following you everywhere and shit talking, what are you supposed to do then?

I was surprised to notice that english seems to have very few swear words to indicate "stupid things", and often when necessary I find myself forced to repeat those few banal terms, while in Italian we have a whole, special vocabulary dedicated only to these, which are numerous, rich in nuances and suitable for every occasion and for all seasons. Which says a lot about my people... 😣 😂 🤣
    KleinesSinchen
    KleinesSinchen
You think so? I just threw in "rubbish" and "nonsense" in LibreOffice thesaurus for US-English. It answered:
Rubbish → folderol, tripe, trumpery, trash, wish-wash, applesauce, codswallop
nonsense → bunk, nonsensicality, meaninglessness, hokum

I'm sure there is more. Love thesaurus! Look up similar terms for "stupid" yourself. Too many…

Swearing in Spanish is too, pretty big.
I too am surprised by the lack of swear words in English (unless you count slurs from other entities that happens to speak English)

This is why I mostly fucking use fucking swear words because they don't fucking mean anything to me.

One thing that regrets and amazes me (not so much, really) is how many users here, especially young english natives, don't care at all about syntax and punctuation: all an amorphous pile of words one after another, without capitalization, commas etc. Lazy, sloppy and unkempt here, as in daily life, I suppose. It seems rather the foreigners who hold up the value, style and quality of the english language.

Personal communication between friends (knowing each other’s ways of expressing) aside, I think it is disrespectful to not invest effort into your messages posted online (public). “I’ll just puke something here, saves my time – even if the reader has to guess the meaning with a lot of effort/time.”

Rules and arbitrary contradict each other. Arbitrary is just writing without paying attention to any kind of form/rules/standard.
Not saying an online post must be high literature. It must be universally understandable – and many forms of arbitrarily, rapid-changing (NOT evolving!) "internet-lingo" fail hard at this.

German friends, take a hard look at yourselves. The past is not far away; it is content in the present. Karma will follow you like a shadow, yours and that of your ancestors. Do not look away, do not point to others: look within, and remember. This concerns you (and us as well).

"Only the humans, the human intellect are/is able to fundamentally change their planet and therefore their basis of life. Other lifeforms don't do that (endanger their future survival)"

Would you agree to this? :creep:
    KleinesSinchen
    KleinesSinchen
The reason for this profile post was once again the "Power of Now" book (finished it five minutes ago). A similar statement about humans/human intellect was used at a few points in a chain of arguments – to underline the unnatural way of (human) life. Using a wrong argument in a chain undermines the proof (sorry – I studied maths).
    KleinesSinchen
    KleinesSinchen
Not saying that our lifestyle is good. Quite the opposite. Our intellect brought us luxury at the price of endangering all life. No matter if looking at this from the cognitive or emotional (spiritual?) perspective: Continuing this way (pollution) is wrong. Earth, all life (including us) is too valuable to destroy it – no matter if with thermonuclear war or with runaway greenhouse effect or with other methods.

Jung states something more radical and incredible. E.g. You're passionate (obsessed) with ancient Egypt and its culture, and "coincidentally" everywhere you go you see lizards (mini-crocodiles) on walls, cockroaches (like beetles) pestering you, greyhounds (like Anubis) regularly crossing the street with their masters, etc.
