I downloaded the English version with JNUSTool, transfer to nand, but it shows error 157-1101 when open. Not sure what's wrong with it.
I was thinking the problem is the ticket or versions.bin. both contain the title id. Try not copying over the code folder.

Is there any chance of brick? Possibly the Wii U logo hang and losing the access to Tiramisu?
Doubtful. I'd think the worst that could happen is mii maker not booting.
problem is that the title id is likely different. you could try to overwrite the file with something you downloaded with jnustool, but I don't know how risky that is or if it would work. that's how you could change the language of most of the home menu to English or any other language. you just need the title id.
The manual can be translate to other language.
In China game forum, post the Japanese to Chinese files, included the manual.

I want to learn that too even when I change the firmware to USA vM ii, it is still in Japanese.
How do I obtain the AllMessage.szs file from my system? I've already modded it with Aroma
You can download the original files from the console nand's folder. or use pc tools download title files from internet.
