I know tegra soc can do up to 4k hevc hw decoding, has opengl 4.5 support, but at the moment none of this can be accessed using libnx. On linux is possible using nvidia closed source driver but also on linux cant be accessed using all open source stuff,
As far as i know with libnx we have access to opengl 4.3 (thanks to libnx guys) and no other hw stuffs.
I think it was a joke. But if hw decoding will come up for sure i will implement it within ffmpeg i am using.
A separate thread for my project will be opened when i am closer to the first release, probably this weekend if no major issue found

Probably my last post on this thread.
I really loved pPlay and i have much fun on forking it and make it works on last FW.
As said before i dont make any more fork release (just bugfixes if asked) to use my limitied free time on nxmp.

The first nxmp release will have this features:
  • ImgGui based interface (is so fast)
  • Local File Browse
  • Network File Browse (HTTP and FTP) form multiple sources (yes you can add as many server you want)
  • Enigma2 Support (without epg in this initial release)
  • 60 fps playback support (if file is 60 fps encoded)
  • H265 1080p support (only with default cpu/gpu Hz settings) nearly at CPU peak but works
Planned as future features:
  • UPnP (needs works but can be done)
  • HW Decoding (as far as the libnx guys give this feature)
  • Stats Meter (CPU/GPU/MEM) just done but not in the first release
  • User button remapping
  • Any other crazy idea (i am a bit crazy)
Hope you all enjoy my work, free time is limited but your support is important to keep working on it

No, it makes sense actually. This is a 4k release in the bt.2020 colorspace which many hardware decoders don't support (see the note here: https://mpv.io/manual/stable/#options-hwdec).
Yes you are right!
vdpau always does RGB conversion in hardware, which does not support newer colorspaces like BT.2020 correctly. However, vdpau doesn't support 10 bit or HDR encodings, so these limitations are unlikely to be relevant.

Sounds amazing! The only suggestion I have is USB drive support using libusbhsfs: https://gbatemp.net/threads/libusbh...ost-filesystem-mounter-static-library.577687/

Thank you for your outstanding work!

Is there any chance you can add SMB/Samba support in the future?

you are the man! i'm so happy that pplay works on latest fw. this was the only reason i was considering a downgrade.

can you please add an option to auto-play next title in the folder?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
