Ain't happening, buy a Wii U and a 3DS if you want to have an actual console, or use an emulator on a high end pc.
I have 4 WiiU's and 7 3ds's including the one that has an opening for TV HDMI projection but I really wish this happen.....Any idea was this is so difficult and not happening with all the mods and homebrews around?

You can not run 3ds games on a wii u.
This is why it's a dream hoping to come true...recently they introduced an operator that runs all GB games on PC with saves also.

There just no way to run 3DS game on a Wii U, it wasn't never meant to be a cross platform, I mean the closest thing would just be a hard modded Katsukity 3DS if you want it on a TV.

I don't know how well ntrview works (never used it), but I've used ntr to send the image of my 3ds to the pc before. kit kat slim works pretty well, the fps is good enough. normal kit kat was terrible for me, fps was very bad. saves would be to the 3ds though, so no way that I know of to put them on the wii u.

OMG......so there are others who wish to play 3ds on wiiU......Thanks a million. I just saw a youtube on ntrview and it looks amazing...one thing the guy mentioned is that you will need speakers for the sound.

I wish that some one can make all this in a small device that you can plug the 3ds cart directly and start playing....

with what i saw, i know it will come one day....

Thanks again...

It's not a matter or extracting the rom data from the 3ds card. The wii u is simply too underpowered to emulate the 3ds.

you are correct. what i mean, if the device has the power to play 3ds (like if it has an actual mini 3ds inside), then it will do all the processing for the wiiU and all the WiiU has to do is projection/streaming

Well there is no software for it to work with the Wii U, as it design for PC, you can already stream 3DS to Wii U but it ain't perfect frame.

if you mean something like a pstv but for 3ds, it's probably possible, but the movable.sed would be different for it than the 3ds if you want saves and content to work on both. you get the movable.sed from the essentials.exefs iirc, which is unique by console. game carts would probably work, but that's it.

it wouldn't use the wii u though, just something you plug into your tv. I'm assuming something like that would be possible in reality.

That might be possible for simple games for advanced 3d games might not be possible unless a magician appears, the gpu part of the wii u apu is okay the cpu part is not, ram is also an issue; If the magican write a 3ds os for the wii u; and that os would need to be able to have full hardware access to shut down the wii u system while the 3ds os is running. For now buying a separate 3ds is the only realistic solution as you see that 3ds would need way too much work.

That would be possible, but it begs the question, if the device has the power to run the games natively with onboard hardware, why use the Wii U, which hardly anybody bought, for video output and controls when it could just plug directly into a TV/monitor and use bluetooth or USB controllers? It would just be needlessly limiting the market to only those people that own a Wii U.
