I think what he's saying is if someone was going to take the time to implement this, they would likely do it for PC which is 1000x more popular than Wii U. Wii U is the point of the thread, but that doesn't mean someone is going to take the time to do it for Wii U.

It'd more likely be a standalone device based on a modified 3DS like the GBA Consolizer, that would have a wider appeal.
