No, pretty sure Joonie retired from the ps3 scene, moved on to the ps4 one. I wouldn't trust that unofficial build.
Good to know, I'm already looking forward to Evilnat 4.88, but is there also a Ferrox 4.88?

I don't see why update as CFW versions if everything is working
Also agrees again

So what now, does that mean REBUG dead.

most likely, yes. I updated from rebug 4.84.2 rex to evilnat 4.88, and it was a great decision. so many more options now with cobra 8.30. for example, reactpsn is now obsolete, and I think psn patch may be as well. if you don't use dex, there' no reason to be on rebug anymore.

So with evilnat 4.88 can we go online? Is there any tools we need ? Or?

Crap... I've been a pretty happy user of Rebug for as long as it's been available. I try to check out the site today, and I see that it's since defaulted to a hosting ad. So like, I seem to still be on 4.86 with Multiman on my own CFW PS3.

Guess I need to at least look up a new CFW, right? If so, what else out there would work with the Cobra payloads like Rebug does?

Sorry to ask, but your post is unclear to me.

Are you saying that evilnat is the recommended CFW to go for at this time?

Out of curiosity, since I had a little bit of time to check, I went to boot up my PS3 and check on Rebug toolbox. So from what I gather, my CFW is 4.86 rebug cex mode. Cobra is at 8.2, and rebug toolbox is 2.03.04. Over time I came to realize I didn't need all of the extra stuff that REX provides, especially since it's harder to treat it as a "dev mode" box and stuff like the firmware tools can mostly mitigate that.

Only reason I'm sort of worrying about updating CFW at this point is in the event that I ever have to replace the hard drive, since my only remaining, working PS3 is an early Slim with the NOR flash that would whine about being incomplete. Makes me miss my CECHA models, but alas, that's neither here nor there.
