They do not. They actually show up as a Supercard in the DS slot. This is part of why they don't work on unhacked 3DSs. On NDSs they actually autoboot so the icon really doesn't matter one way or the other.

They are a 1:1 copy as far as I can tell, every resistor and capacitor where it is in the original. The timebomb issue was always overblown in that only specific TT clones have that issue and it's a problem with the kernel no the actual hardware.

Well... Not really.... They didn't mention the DSi, and in the description, they said : "The 3DS series must be cracked with B9S before it can be used.".
But yeah, the title is misleading (as always on AliExpress).
But if you have a DS or DS Lite, this flashcard (apart from being ugly without the label) seems very good! I hope to recieve it soon so I can compare it to the original DSOne.

I will receive my ds one in 70 days....thanks covid.Usually without covid arrive in my country in 1 month.

When the product arrives i will test it with a microsd 64 gb (fat32 formatedd )

I've tested up to 128GB and it works fine. I've actually been getting them in less than 2 weeks, perhaps a benefit of living in a major port city on the Pacific coast? The bit about B9S being necessary is buried in the description but I always read AliExpress descriptions thoroughly because the product titles are always a mess so I wasn't surprised at all.

After applying a coupon from Honey, I was able to grab one for a little over $5 shipped from within the US. Not bad. Worth it to give it a shot. I used to use a Supercard DSTWO, but the shell was poorly constructed and fell apart. I also have a genuine DSTTi that I love a lot. Never hurts to have another card, though.

I received my card today, and here is a comparison with the original Supercard DS One SDHC. In short, it's a 1:1 clone for a fraction of the original price.
On the photos, the original is on the left, the clone on the right.
Of course, for this price, you won't have the same packaging. The original Supercard included a microSD reader for a computer.
When you compare the cards themselves, the shells are a bit different. However, I believe different shells were made for the original Supercard, maybe the clone copies one of them. The plastic quality is crappy on both units.
The PCB are identical and appears to have the same build quality.
I literally plugged the SD card from the original DS One inside the clone, and it worked flawlessly.

In conclusion, as a 1:1 clone, it's a very good option if you have a DS Phat or Lite. The build quality is decent, and it works well!

I got mine today, have to get the "DSONE_SDHC_Evolution_V1.0_eng_sp6_20121030.zip" software to run on the SD card, and from what I have tested so far, it is an excellent clone. even cheaper than the damn R4i clones and better compat.

edit: even inserting and removing the card is much better, works everytime, all the R4 clones are hit and miss when inserting and to keep trying

ntrboot-flasher does not currently support DSone, but with the new influx of clones, it may be added if anyone is interested in adding it

I wonder if we could estimate a manufacture date from the lot codes on the chips used. I was able to find a data sheet for the SST flash chip but it doesn't contain any information on decoding the lot id. I haven't had any luck with the Silicon7 RAM.

Oh wow, I bought one of these in China together with an iQue DS Lite back in the days, ordered one for nostalgia reasons. Mine was the non-SDHC one though but close enough.

2.) Can the cart's firmware be updated?

#2 is my biggest issue with cloned hardware, they're usually forever stuck with the firmware they ship with until a new hardware revision comes out.

If my memory serves only Ysmenu and Supercard ds one firmware works otherwise someone with the flashcart can tell you if their work with wood.Mine will arrive in 60 days thanks to covid and yes i buy it from aliexpress.With this cart will upgrade my flashcart collection (r4 original,r4 rts gold pro,acekard 2i,supercard dstwo,ace3ds and the awaited supercard dsone).

No, they run the Supercard DSONE version of EOS which is Supercard's DS flashcart kernel. It is actually better than Wood R4 in many (most?) ways.
Nope, they are a 1:1 copy of the DSONE SDHC which doesn't have any firmware updates available. It is forever stuck being incompatible with unhacked DSi and 3DS handhelds.

One thing of note is there is technically an old port of Wood R4 v1.25 that is super outdated available. Also, the DSTT is actually sort of a cost-reduced clone of the DSONE so YSMENU is another option. That being said, the stock kernel is pretty awesome with working RTS, slow motion, and a bunch of other features not really seen on other brands of carts.

turns out the clones are a bit hit and miss, 2 of my cards work perfectly, and 1 gets stuck on the loading screen, I have 3 more coming soon, I will test them also

edit: has psram failure, tried shorting the battery like others suggest, to no fix

hopefully this is limited to very few cards

Can you post a shot of the PSRAM diagnostic when you hold L+R+Up on boot and press A to cycle through to the PSRAM test?

it shows the same error for each time I cycle.

If you hold Up as well as L+R you will get a slightly more detailed diagnostic. I am curious if the writes are failing entirely (you will see FF at every address) or you are getting some other failure mode.
