I have haxchi on my Wii U as well as my vwii modded via the guide on gbatemp. I am looking at a different Wii U and wanted to transfer my Nintendo profile from my current Wii U to my new Wii U. If I transfer content via the system settings, will it damage the new virtual Wii system files and cause problems or is this a safe thing to do?

If you have a Wii U formatted external hard drive on one and want it to have all your games on the other it won't work because Nintendo locked them to one specific Wii U, it would force you to format the external on the second Wii U, I'm fairly certain you can't do a system transfer for games on an external because of this. I would think your internal would work with this transfer you're attempting but it's not something I've attempted. If you have a vWii external on the other hand that's formatted to Fat32 you can just plug it into the other Wii U and it'll still work.

I am guessing anything piracy/homebrew related simply won't transfer, that's how it usually goes.

I'm not concerned about transferring anything related to homebrew or games (i have the originals). My concern lies with the altered vWii ios system files. Will it damage or brick the new wii or old one when the system is formatted? Guessing I'm not entirely sure what files are transferred when transferring content from one Wii U to another.
