When we begin discussing the PS5 console bans at around the 17:45 mark (essentially, people are using workarounds to get the PS+ collection playable on the PS4 in a way that violates Sony's Terms of Service) I mention that a console ban on a digital only PS5 spells doom because of the fact that a console ban locks you out of the internet and digital content.
What I didn't address is the fact that it would likely have a huge impact even if you're buying your games physically. Unless I'm speaking out my ass because
@relauby isn't fact checking me--a triple-layer Ultra HD Blu-ray can store just 100 GB when used for gaming. There are lots of physical games out there that are over 100 GB (looking at you CoD). Because you have to install every game that you play--whether digital or physical--on your PS5 you'll likely need an internet connection to download at least portions of games that are over 100 GB. You won't be able to do this if your console is banned.
TL;DR don't charge people to link their PS4 account to your PS5 in a way that unlocks the PS+ collection on their PS4 because you'll risk a console ban and have a very bad time.
... Also don't scalp. That's unrelated to the above discussion. It's just shitty.
