pikmin 3.JPG

First released on the Wii U, Pikmin 3 now makes its way to the Nintendo Switch as a Deluxe version. You will soon be able to command on the go a crew of three explorers and a Pikmin squad to solve puzzles and battle critters as you help your team in its quest for survival .

The Switch version comes with all the Mission mode DLC stages from the original game’s release as well as some enhancements. These include the ability to play the whole Story mode in co-op, new side-story missions which can also be played in co-op, new difficulty options, lock-on targeting, optional hints and the choice to play at a more relaxed pace.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe launches on the Nintendo Switch this October 30th.

I'm super interested in co-op campaign mode.

Maybe I'm weird but, I still play the hell out of mission mode in Pikmin 3 and only played through the campaign once. Campaign was good and all (definitely the most refined and interesting Pikmin game imo), but multiplayer makes the game way more fun.

and the choice to play at a more relaxed pace.

Nice, always felt like that aspect of the game didn't go well with my play style.

Anyway, i would prefer a Pikmin 4 instead.
So many re releases in this generation on consoles.
I find it kinda funny when people argue about what re releases they would like... There must have been a regression when i wasn't looking because back then all we wanted was new stuff.

I hate how anti-consumer Nintendo has become

$39.99 would, in my view, increase sales and make people feel less taken advantage of.

Even when I do bite @ $59.99, I dont truly - its when I had gamer club or buy them used. I cant in good conscious pay for almost any game at $60, much less ones that are ports.

With Tropic Freeze, its an excellent game. I beat it, re-sold it at the cost I bought it for, and later picked up a cheap Wii U copy when I got into Wii U and modding that... that I plan to re-play one day but at under $10, not in any rush.

Do not forget Wind Waker HD.
wind waker isnt stuck on wiiu only...
you can play it on the gamecube and using the gc disc you can play it on all launch wii models so there is 3 legit ways to play windwaker and only one to play pikmin 3 up until now.

Yeah I agree.
It'd be nice to have the two HD Zeldas on Switch too.
I mean, at this rate BotW 2 will be out until 2022, so I'm guessing they're holding on those two to fill game gaps for 2021.
Sucks, but that's how they handle their shit lol

a remaster doesnt count as an exclusive since its just a remaster.

or else you count xenoblade as a switch exclusive then? just because its now hd even tough its a wii and new 3ds game also? makes no sence.

or even worse yoshi wooly world is a 3ds and wiiu exclusive? becuase one is hd and the other isnt? lol

lol no it's not they added the swift sail which alone is worth it!
a remaster is just a graphic or enhancement upgrade but they actually added new stuff to WW HD which makes it a completely different game.

Glad this isn't stuck on the Wii U now. All we need now is Mario 3D World and all the good games on it will be ported.
Subjective opinion, man.
Twilight Princess HD, The Wind Waker HD, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and DS Virtual Console are still Wii U-exclusive, and all of them are better than 3D World ever could be.

...I didn't enjoy 3D World all that much, due to the awful Nessie levels, cherry clone thing, and Rosalina being present. 3D Land is so much better designed than 3D World.

Not to veer too off topic, but I'm curious about why you didn't like that Rosalina was present in the game. It's not like it broke the "Mario lore" or something goofy like that, right?

Because I couldn't stand her in Galaxy, due to how utterly useless and pointless she was. She just stood there, doing nothing the entire game, yet she's now a mainstay Mario character? That's bullshit.
The Mario series has so many other, more interesting characters that never see the light of day, whether it's from the first three Paper Mario games or the Mario & Luigi series (or Waluigi). Yet it's ROSALINA that gets the attention. Appalling.

If she was the one to move Prankster Comets around, or something, then she'd have some kind of reason for existing (though making her a mainstay would still be a stretch), but...NOPE. That job's foisted off to a fat Luma.

Not to sound ungrateful, but I actually was expecting a Pikmin 4. It seems that most Nintendo "biggies" are Switch ports of Wii and Wii U games (and even 3DS games). While it's nice to have 1-2-Switch! and SnipperClips: Cut It Out Together, these seem like minor game releases compared to something as awesome as Super Mario Odyssey.

Ports aren't bad, as they save a lot of time, money, and effort on new games, but it would be nice to see newer, cooler stuff every once in a while from them.

adding an item doesnt make a game new when the campaign and everything else is just the same...

that is like saying donkey kong tropical freeze switch its not a port its a switch exclsuive becuase they added funky kong, or toad treasure tracker because they added 4 levels, heck any deluxe version added some crappy thing that doesnt make them new games ...

I won’t be paying for it but I will be adding it to my collection. My WiiU will soon be redundant and can finally be put out to pasture.
It won't be redundant - it still has two of the best Legend of Zelda games (Twilight Princess HD, The Wind Waker HD), DS Virtual Console (Pokémon Ranger, Super Mario 64 DS), Xenoblade Chronicles X, and quite a few other things that are still only on it.

CEMU and/or Dolphin Emulator on my PC and TwiLight Menu ++ on my hacked 2dsXL. I’ve got it covered.
