Hello.
I own two Swich and both were able to play CFW.
Both have no problem working with OFW, but when one of the Swich was connected to the PC with RCM, a problem occurred and this device stopped. (Code 43) An unknown USB device (device descriptor request failure) is displayed.
Since it is in this state, there is no reaction even with Android.
The other Swich is fine.
There is no doubt that it is RCM.

Two PCs, two Androids, three USB cables all have the same response.
OFW recognizes the device as a Nintendo Switch.

Is something broken?
Is there any way to solve it?

reinstall the drivers. that's a pc error meaning that something is corrupted somewhere. I've seen it happen with my bluetooth. reinstalling the drivers fixed it.

Of course, I repeatedly reinstalled the driver.
I also replaced the USB cable. Under the same conditions, one is no RCM and the other is RCM OK.

I had the same problem as well. In case it helps someone:

Follow these CAREFULLY. Skip Steps 1-4 if you are starting cold; haven't screwed up the first time.
  1. Unplug your Switch from the computer (this won't kick you out of RCM; don't worry)
  2. Under Settings > Apps > Apps & features, look for "Windows Driver Package - libusbK Nintendo Switch APX Mode ([date] [version])".
  3. Uninstall it.
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Start TegraRcmGUI
  6. Go to Settings > Install Driver
  7. "Yes" (otherwise you wouldn't be able to continue; duh. If it doesn't bring up the dialog again, restart TegraRcmGUI)*
  8. Restart your computer
  9. Plug your Switch into the computer again
  10. You should now be able to push payloads.
If at Step 10 it is still erroring, you should probably look at getting a different cable or checking the power on your USB ports.

*Did someone forget to Dispose() and null the Winform Window after it's closed?

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
