So they went the shitty GameStop approach of pretending to care but really just exploiting the panic.
You really don't understand do you always thinking the worse in people lol - these are difficult times who givs a toss what day it comes out they are trying to make it easier for people who distribute the games around the world so tht we can get our copies

I will always see negative in these companies and distrust them.

Wonder if this will be used as an excuse for buggy and incomplete. I also wonder if someone decided that as cinemas or something are not in then we get a better time window.

Mayb you should stop playing games then
Games are fun though. In my experience most professional chefs are arseholes but I still like going to restaurants, same idea here.

Granted I am not seeing the problem with this one. Could see some being overly paranoid about gamestop (I have no objection to their actions there but eh) but this seems fine.

And does anyone care if they are exploiting the panic. We get the game early and that's all they care about, playing it sooner.

I really dont see a difference between releasing early and releasing it on it's original intended date. It's still going to be released either way. But difference is sooner.

Way to go to be suspicious at nothing. I'm so angry at this early release date that I'm not going to support this game ever and complain on social media to everyone on how evil releasing the game early is. I'm sure 100% garunteed to get alot of support, praise, likes and followers from this. And I'll be considered a hero to fight against evil early corporate release dates.

No one really had to care and really it doesn’t make a difference, but that doesn’t mean I can’t annoyed by companies doing things I personally think are shitty and wanted to voice that opinion on.

Releasing millions of physical copies of a game as popular as this worldwide on a single day would be difficult under normal conditions. Probably impossible during a pandemic.

Given the choice between some people who pre-ordered getting it early vs. some people getting it late, it seems like they are making the right choice here.

Is it really that shitty though?

Ok they are buttering up people to make it seem like they care about them having something to play while in shut down so they release early. Maybe difficult releasing world wide during a pandemic.

But what's the other alternative them saying negative things about how they are all idiots that think we care about giving a game so they can have a good experience when in reality we only make it for their money. Would you be happy if they said that out in public, and would you still support their game if they were that honest?

To be honest, maybe I am just letting my distrust of cooperations and distributers jade my opinions of their action. We are fresh off the heels of GameStop’s bullshit and I am not a fan of exploiting panic. Maybe this is a good move and Squire Enix is doing this because they feel it might be best. I just have a hard time trusting companies have the best intentions in mind when so many have done shitty stuff in the past, it’s personal hang up on my end.

The status of the shipping says 'Requested' - whatever that means.
I paid for the 1st Class Edition last year and in no way I'm cancelling it now

I was gonna put my preorder down today, but the price suddenly jumped up online. My usual go-to of Base.com has upped it by a fiver or so, most places are now at least £50. For that I may as well spring the extra and get a digital deluxe edition with a PSN card reduction off CD Keys or something.

Oh okay, so they won't release early in the US. I see how it is, they can screw off.

Preorder cancelled. Square Enix can suck it long and hard.
Are you joking?

If mail deliveries / distribution have been struggling in Europe, they sent it a few days earlier to make sure as many people as possible will get it to April 10th. So some Europeans might get the game a couple of days before Americans? >_>

I dont think people quite grasp how this pandemic is affecting businesses especially ones already in the red. From the customer perspective we don't give a shit, not my business not my problem. I don't like their past business practices so I couldn't care less if they went the way of the blockbuster.

But as a business owner this pandemic is the worse thing that could happen. Call myself an essential business to keep me afloat, I risk lives but I stay afloat, hopefully. Lots of money being lost and many business wish they could be open right now. Some can take the hit, they can afford to stay closed they have enough back up money. Some can't though and fear they would shut down, which ruins their chance of trying their best to make a comeback. Now they don't have that chance and the business is shut down not because of the fault of their own but because a virus screwed things up.

Gamestop has Reggie now maybe their practices will change? Maybe they will change their ways to stay afloat? Become a better business? Analyze past mistakes and improve. People should be given a chance to improve right. You dont want all bad things to happen just because you don't like them, you want people to better themselves. But this virus takes that chance away.

If we don't handle this pandemic well that ressecion could turn to a great depression, that's how bad this can get if we shut down too long. So there is incentive to open, people may die from virus, but people will suffer without a job. It's about picking one that'll give the lesser damage. Or stay shut down till we control this virus hopefully without to much economic damage.
