Just flashed my ESP8266EX with this bin , but i can't get out of programming mode . I'm indicated to unplug/replug the device to enter normal mode . But that doesn't happen . Any tips ?
When you unplug the esp it will not be in programming mode the next time you turn plug it in. It will be ready to go with whatever you flashed it with.

Afaik , when the device is out of the bootloader ( flashing ) mode , it will display a solid blue light . It used to be so before i flashed it , i had an older bin and i wanted to update it . So , i connected to NodeMCU and flashed it without too much prior reading . I believe , the first time i selected " do not erase flash " . Then i did another one with "erase flash " . Then i found some ESP8266 driver online and installed it . After the flashing is done and i remove it , it will not return to the previous state of solid blue light . I tried to erase it with this clean bin http://esp8266internetofthings.blogspot.com/2015/10/how-to-flash-at-commands-firmware-in.html , and the blue light returned . So maybe i did not break it . But why will it not return to normal after flashing your bin ?

A couple of questions:
Is this the first time you have used an ESP with the PS4?
Could you post a picture of your board?

Have you tried plugging in the ESP and seeing if you can find the "PS4 ESP HOST" in the available wifi hosts on your PS4?

I think the reason you have a solid blue light when you flash that other bin is because that is what that bin is ment to do.
When you flash a PS4 host bin on an ESP the led usually blinks every few seconds to show that it is broadcasting a wifi signal.

Dont worry, I'm sure we'll get it working.:)

Fixed it ...i was skipping the ..

HOW TO SET UP ESP
------------------
On the PS4 go to:
Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > Use Wi-Fi > Custom
Select 'PS4 ESP HOST' from the list and use the password '12345678'

My ESP was flashed with HEN 1.6 and had another SSID . After flashing , the connection error made me think it was broken / inactive but i just had to rescan as the SSID changed .
Glad i didn't have any "smart" ideas to fix it , like short a few pins there.

This menu is looking really good . I remember there was a problem back in the day with saves getting corrupted , is this still an issue ? I think it's smart to backup saves , anyway . Should i be using a normal stick or it must be formatted by PS4 as external storage ?

If you are using any backup payloads your USB should be formatted to exFAT.
Saves dont corrupt as often as they did with old versions of Hen but it sill can happen so it is a good idea to make backups regularly.

It is also a good idea to backup your databases just in case you ever get a forced database rebuild.
The PS4 db rebuilder script that is out there works but it is not 100% (problems with not being able to delete a game anymore and it does not restore any homebrew titles either) but if you use the Database Backup/Restore payloads in PS-Phwoar it will restore everything back 100%.:)

^^ but Leeful, that means with these new extra payloads we can directly backup DB and the savegames, and restore them directly ? i remember that you explained some previous steps to achieve it using these payloads to perform backup and restore in the old exploit host thread....

Yes, with the database and savegame backup and restore payloads in PS-Phwoar! you can easily backup and restore your databases and save games 100%.

The problems I was talking about are with the' PS4_db_rebuilder' python script by Zer0xFF. If you use that to try and bring back your installed games after a forced database rebuild you will have some small problems.
1. Any homebrew titles you had installed will not be restored.
2. The games that it does restore will have the problem of not being able to delete them any more when they have been run once.

If you make regular database backups with PS-Phwoar! you can easily avoid any of these issues.

ok, so the payload made by you work 100% to restore db and savegames, but the older payload need some previous steps to achieve it.... In that case very good job !!

I have just installed this and is amazing. HEN exploit has never been cosmetically pleasing. This is the perfect loader for PS4.

Thank you Mr. Leeful. Your efforts are thoroughly appreciated. Was a doddle with the USB install method.

(sorry i write too much:D:D)
hello
i just find out about your awesome ps-phwoar which was highly recommended by my friend:)
i have a report and a question....
1- the android version ps-phwoar(which is xploitserver by stooged) has a bug:
as you know in android 6.0 and later the app permission has changed
for example
in android 5.0 when you install a app it show needed permissions and by installing the app you allow the permissions that app needed....
but in android 6.0 and later is not like that and when you open app
app request you or ask you to allow permissions that needed and you can allow it or not..
for xploiserver in android 6 and later when you open the app it do not ask or request you for storage permission and give me the error ( failed to create directory)
it was a common problem when android 6 was released and can be fixed by few line of codes(permission request codes is missing)
is not a big problem and can be fixed by going to setting/application manager /xploitserver/ and allow storage in permission tab
im just want to tell you that if you want fix it:lol: ( i tried 2 phone with android 6 and later (have the problem) and a phone with android 5 (works fine)
2- there is two method for android xploitserver 1- ps4 and phone be connected to same network -2 create a hotspot on phone and connect ps4 to hotspot
does hotspot method works fine with ps-phwoar?

Thanks for the info.:) My phone is old so I had no idea about the permissions in android 6+.

The android app was built by stooged so I have no controll on how that works.
All I have done for PS-Phwoar! (and for X-Project) is to update the set of PS4 exploit files that the app installs. I have no idea how to build an android app from scratch but maybe it is something I will look into in the future.:)

As for the phone hotspot, I havent tried it myself but I imagine it would work just fine if you connect the PS4 to the phones hotspot and go to the address it tells you in the app.

If you use the BinLoader payload in PS-Phwoar!, is already modified to work with the larger payloads like the 11MB USBless linux payload bin.

A question.. I noticed that it does have Linux.. Is it L4T Ubuntu, Gentoo or PSXitARCH V2 ? I am hoping for Fedora 3.1 since I heard and seen on YouTube that it is better than PSXitARCH v2.

The version of linux you use is whatever distro of PS4 Linux you choose to install to your USB drive.
The Linux payloads in PS-Phwoar! are Linux loaders. They will Install/Load whatever distro you choose. I have only tried Gentoo and PSXitarch but if you have access to a PS4 compatable version of Fedora it should work in the same way as the others do.

yes but why i can not load directly the .bin file?? like GTA Mods?

why i need a other device to send the .bin file?

None of the GTA mods are anywhere near the size of the 11MB No-USB-Linux payload. The largest GTA payload is only 1.03MB.

The usual filesize limit for bin files (in All exploit menu's) is set to 3.145 MB that is why no other exploit menu can load the 11MB No-USB bin file without being modified first.
I modified the BinLoader payload in PS-Phwoar specifically for this reason so it can load extra large payloads.

If you self host you can modify the exploit.js file yourself to remove this limit.
Look for this line :
var mapped_address = p.syscall("sys_mmap", code_addr, 0x300000, 7, 0x41000, -1, 0);
and change 0x300000 to 0xC00000

if you do this you can swap the No-USB-Linux payload with any of the existing payloads and it will load direcly like you want.

Beware, doing this may or may not interfere with other payloads loading correctly. That is why I did not increase the filesize limit for all payloads in PS-Phwoar but instead modified the version of BinLoader to accomodate the loading of larger payloads.:)
