TX Presents SX OS v2.9 BETA - With Full v9.0 Firmware Support!

NEW UPDATE FIXES UPGRADE ISSUES!

PLEASE USE V2.9.1b INSTEAD OF 2.9

YOU CAN NOW USE CHOIDUJOURNX 1.0.2 WITH 2.9.1b

**********************************************

Good day, fans and believers! We hope you are all having a good weekend.

SXOS29.png

Team-Xecuter has done it again, they have updated their world-famous SX OS to now support the latest v9.0 Switch firmware from Nintendo.
Today, we bring you a much needed update of SX OS. Full compatibility with the latest Switch firmware 9.0! Sorry that we kept you waiting, we wanted to make sure all our unique features still properly work.

Additionally, we also introduced support for the "Horizon split format". This means that people who use FAT32 can have folders named 'game.xci' with split parts contained therein (named 00, 01, 02, etc.). Make sure the folder has the 'archive' bit set.

We know you are waiting for some other big features in SX OS, they are coming.. We wanted to get this compatibility update out first though.

So what are you waiting for? SX OS 2.9 beta is available for download on our website now! (and also through the builtin online updater part of SX OS.)

Yeah simply loading up CFW on 9.0 (without the gamecard specifically being disabled) will burn a fuse. iirc you can't really check how many fuses you have burnt. You'll just know you have burnt one when you can't use your GC under 9.0.0
so for now you can't update to 9.0 emunand on sx os without burning the gcfuse?

Some people say it burns the GCfuse and others say it does not. This will need to be verified before we know for certain, for now assume it does.

4 me it seems like xci l, and game card is working. I am on 8.1 sysnand. And 9.0 on emunand. But I did have issues install fw 9.0.

My method was back to sxos 2.8 then I used Choi to upgrade fw on emunand. And it seems like it working okay.

But to be honest, if you don't kinda desperate need fw 9.0. Just wait for a update, it seems like it have made a lot of trouble for some

Can someone give a definitive guide on what to do for SX Users?

I am on Sysnand 8.1
Emunand - tried to update to 9.0 with Choi 1.01 and SX2.9

Obviously, like everyone else I got stuck downloading the new OS... now when i boot to emuNand I have a black screen.

Is there any way to recover emunand? I'm okay with completely restoring my emuNand - tried that but that didn't work either.

Need some help lol... what is the step by step?
Yes emunand hidden partition works all ok on 9.0 firmware try and go back a few pages, it’s been explained several times how to update via ChoiDujournx properly and find out for yourself. There’s no need for TX to roll out a fix everything works how it should apart from lock screen theme. I’ve even explained this thoroughly in an another thread with someone else having the same issues.

Also a good tip for users try getting your 9.0 firmware from a real reputable source not that dark site!

Jeezzz, I don't Know why, but:

After corrupting my Emunand, I updated my SysNAND to 9.0 by Nintendos official method. Then I made a backup of Boot0 and Boot1 and replaced my Emunand's ones with these. So my emunand is booting again. BUT, as expected, my emunand was messy, not loading games and so on.

I went to sleep, and today my emunand is working, playing games and everything, showing as 8.1. Why? No idea.

Only 2.9 boots this emunand, 2.8 doesnt work.

About gc fuses burning on sxos I think that applies the same logic from earlier updates updating the gc slot (4.0+) and is that the nogc patches are applied automatically when booting in sxos and gc slot fuses are preserved until you insert an actual game in the slot then the gc firmware will be updated and fuses burnt. So if you want to be able to use gc slot on older firmwares you must never insert a gamecard in the slot on 9.0+ and also remember to pull out any gamecard prior to update.

Hopefully I didn’t brick my switch.
updated to 9.0 sysnand by accident via wifi some days ago.
switch didn’t boot beyond Nintendo logo so I thought must be a SX OS problem.
But the fact that I can’t even boot into ofw scares me a bit right now.
ofc no nand Backup

Okay noob question, I don’t mine fuses or downgrading, my hacked Nintendo is banned, is it safe to assume I can upgrade through Nintendo servers?

yes, it is safe to do update thru Nintendo servers. I always update my banned switch with Nintendo servers.

Two weeks ago i migrated my sx emunand to atmosphere emummc, after reading all this what happened with 2.9 sx update i will never go back. It was a nice run with sx but i think atmosphere is just a lot more stable.

I am bricked!!! I have backup but tried restore, it then it hangs on Nintendo logo!! Permanent brick, THANKS SX!!

Sounds like what happened to me. You stuck on logo because you probably have a theme that's not compatible with 9.0 go to your folder and delete the theme title folder and try to boot again.

This whole sorry debacle is a real CLUSTERF**K!!! .. no, not your bog standard British variety ... i'm talking a traditional MONGOLIAN CLUSTERF**K!! I have zero faith in these charlatans!! Who would release something like this that seems to be failing on 95% of consoles?? Doubt anything they could conjure up tomorrow is gonna salvage my emunand ... ive (barely) managed to downgrade to 8.2 with Atmosphere, can intermittently boot into SXOS (every 20th try, and only through TegraRcmGUI) BUT my NSP install games are nowhere to be seen. In SXOS now, it only lists the games I have purchased in my OFW as not downloaded. Where TF all are my emunand games?? My Emutendo folder is still there on SD card... anyone know how to get my NSP installs to show again. Any help would be appreciated. Like most of you probably, this has been doing in my ole noggin all day!!

If you had themes delete title folder and reboot. Was stuck in Nintendo logo when I updated with a theme I got from Homebrew store
