You can use example Goldtree/NS-usbloader/Fluffy etc. to use Goldleaf and install your NSPs with your fat32 card directly from the computer. I myself use FAT32 since it's less prone to corruption than exfat (exfat driver on the Switch isn't good at all). Then you don't need to copy anything from your computer to the sdcard of your switch.

To get it back and running. Format your card again with Fat32 (if you use WIndows, use this tool: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm else if you use Linux, us any way to format to fat32.
Download for example Kosmos (it's a all in one package to make it easier for newbies or lazy people like me): https://github.com/AtlasNX/Kosmos/releases
Download the signature patches that is needed: https://gbatemp.net/threads/kosmos-patches-es-fs.542455/

Copy it all over to the SDCard, if the patches wish to overwrite something, allow them to.
And done! Of to the races you go again. Then remember what I said in the beginning of the text.

Here is a good guide as well: https://switch.homebrew.guide/

You can use recovery tools but it will just be more work than its worth. Might as well just redo everything from scratch.

Install the latest os with exfat support but you will need the sd card to be fat32 first to get into cfw

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
