is playin maddening with new game + bonuses still hard or does it make it too easy?
well depends on how much renown you have and how much you spend. If you're only on your second playthrough and don't have much renown to unlock some good skills first, it will probably be quite hard in the beginning with enemies way above your level. I'm doing maddening on my 4th playthough so it's considerably easier with me being able to unlock lots of stuffs right away, but it can still be challenging.

Yes, I am in part 1.

Edit:
Now I find that sothis's flags and stats reset after each battle. So her "is available" and "has joined" flags are unchecked after each battle, as well as her level, inventory, abilities, and combat art. However, it is strange that her class flags doesn't seem to have changed.

Also I tested out all other characters. They all work fine. No disappearing/resetting after battles. So far the only problems are Jeralt and Sothis. Jeralt is invisible in battle, and will crash the game if you attack an enemy with him.

(Claude/m!Byleth S support spoiler videos, don't click if you want to avoid spoilers!)







It's not much, but until we have a proper gay 3H hack... it's still something. Still a way to gay marry your faves, albeit not perfect.

what i did:
- saved before the final choice of who to S support. (I was playing as male Byleth)
- used the save editor to export my male byleth, then imported a female Byleth from another save right on top of male Byleth, overwriting him
- imported back my original male byleth, so now i had 2 byleths in my roster, one male and one female
- the game now seemed to recognize female Byleth as the "main" Byleth. She was the one i could move around the monastery with as well as the one who appeared on the battlefield and in cutscenes. so when asked to pick an S support option, i could pick the ones available to her, including Claude.
- i picked Claude, saved, won the final battle, saved after it was over

At this point, my original intention was to use that after-battle save to save edit male Byleth back into being the "main" byleth to see what happened if i did...

...Except I didn't. Apparently it wasn't even necessary.
For some reason, right after the final battle, the game automatically started the Claude S support cutscene with male Byleth, even though the "main" Byleth was still female Byleth. And this is the result.

If anyone else wants to try this with another same-sex pairing, i'd like to know if the same also happens to their Byleth!


(This is far from perfect though. Right after the Claude/m!Byleth blank text slide in the final credits, another slide with m!Byleth/Dorothea appeared, this one with text saying they got married. I think this is the game choosing a random spouse for the 2nd Byleth)

EDIT: I just tried to do what I was originally planning: in the after-battle save, i removed the additional Byleth (female byleth, who has turned into another male byleth for some reason) and when i loaded the save, everything was the same except the additional m!Byleth/Dorothea slide in the credits was gone! So that's all you need to do to avoid it.

Im also in part 1. No problem for me so far with Sothis, currently at chapter 7. Jeralt is invisible when mounted & crash if battle using him. However, if you unmount jeralt, it will be ok, no crash whatsoever in battle. Anyway, anyone has working death knight file that works with its death knight class?? The death knight not in his own class is quite pity actually XD.

Anyone can tell me step by step how to get data1.bin file from this game? i want to use editor tool to edit some thing like crest, growth rate, magic but need this file

Try to search in a forum there only a partial guide or just too vauge and don't even know a thing how to get start

NCA-NSP-XCI_TO_LayeredFS + dump keys.ini(dat,txt) from your switch.

As for death knight, I think the his files cannot get the death knight class. I will dig further into it as well.

As for death knight, I think the his files cannot get the death knight class. I will dig further into it as well.

With your help, I managed to figure out the problem. It seems that my game is corrupted, and then it corrupted my save files as well.

Edit2:
Actually, my sothis is disappearing again. I would have to look into this later.

Edit3:
Porblem is Sothis Shield. Sothis will disappear after every battle even if you don't use sothis shield (if you already obtained it). If you have a save that has sothis shield, then you probably can't use his files to play as sothis consistently. If anyone encounter this problem, now you know.

It seems you are on the 1st playthrough? So i give mine around chapter 6 i think. I played around with all abilities include the enemy ones too to my rosters XD. Maybe you can try if it work for you. Use slot03, Sothis & other enemies XD already inside it.

I have found a way to get all stats +1 w/o MOV only.
Actually it just always +1 for stats with growth rate>0(as we know MOV growth is 0 for all characters).
For growth(after calculated with job fix) > 100, it will get always +2 (but I have not seen any growth rate greater than 100 with job fix in FETH)

i think in your test you have characters with maximum MOV allowed so that MOV's are not growing anymore.
if you know little AArch64 ASM and try translating the hex codes around MAIN+0x0038CD0C/MAIN+0x0038C134 into AArch64 ASM, you will know why it is not working.
and yes, the above cheat I posted is made by myself, by disassembly using IDA.

actually it does work sort-of* - they was test codes, not stable to begin with , i did tell them that** before releasing them..
.. as i said before .. just not 100% of time and or at random times or not..
only works around like 50% of time and or at Random times..
but yes it isn't stable.. also that isn't my code...
i just *REWORKED* it from Original one.. and also -i put to everyone about the code(s) -
- that it was *Test* Code(s).. just let them try for them selves for fun..
so yeah , any help with these Code(s) will be much appreciated .. since you Know Assembly-Code* and all. :)
i don't know assembly Code- i don't think i do..-(which probably means i don't)...

@BlackwingAngelx hey man can you tell me how you managed to get all 3 lords to appear in mandatory/story battles? I'm almost at the time-skip but I never managed to get El and Dimitri to fight on a story map. They can appear in optional battles alright because you can freely select/unselect them but they are always shown as mandatory deployment in story fight, as you said, a visual glitch, but are never actually there. :/

how do i add other lords without it breaking my game?and how do i add other characters like DK and Jeralt?
Also can i add retaines like hubert or dedue to my team without it breaking my game?

you won't break the game if you add the lords with the editor by simply checking their "is available" and "has joined" flags. But there are few small problems here and there such as you cannot use their "shared unique class" of "lords" (but only this one, all other classes seem to be fine). Also in mandatory story battles, you may not always be able to use the lords who are not from your house, but they work 100% in optional/paralogue battles.
As to how to use NPCs such as Jeralt and the DK, refer to post # 1644 on page 83. Takeshi has generously provided the character files for these NPCs that you can use by importing them with the save editor onto empty slots.
