No, I already know that this is dead. They just want to update it one more, lol. Bye bye Wii U. Never had you before and dont need you now because it was ugly. One day I might buy used if it is 30-50 dollars.

You can. You will loose coldboot and then you have to reinstall cbhc again.
or you can just uninstall it first and reinstall it after updating.
Both ways will have the same end.

they could release an update for playing original GC discs... that would be a great feature.

and they could also include a "like it" button on system menu, so everyone can click it!
after 100.000 likes everyone will get a FREE update.... "5.5.5" with more.... stability!

Any drive that can read Wii discs can read GC discs. It may only need some FW update for the disc verification scheme before being allowed to boot.

Try putting a GC disk in your WiiU... it's not designed for the 3" disk format - it can't physically "load" the smaller disk.
