You can play online if your NAND is clean and that you setup an emunand and play your backup there, you would get ban if you ran CFW on sysnand and play online. CFW ain't stored on the system, you push a payload to activate CFW until you shut it off again or ran out of battery, if you want a clean nand use SX OS emunand, as the Atmosphere version of emunand is still experimental.
hey man, so do i understand correctly:
i can do:
install official firmware update on my virgin 4.0.1 switch (it has to be max fw 8 for online play right?) via system settings.
then load into sx (i have the pro), install an emunand (which version, the normal or the hidden partition or the other?).
use the dumped files on emunand, dont go online in emunand, dont install auto rcm.
now i am able to play original cardridges online without ban and then use the jig and the usb dongle to boot manually to my emunand whenever i wanna play the other games?
BUT doing this, i will miss out on future hacks for lower firmwares (for example 4.0.1) which will be more convenient in whatever way?
i cannot do:
install a "clean" emunand and play online with that making the ninty believe it is my ofw? thus have 1 ofw im doing nothing with except keep it low fw 4.0.1, 1 cfw which gets booted via autorcm with a handfull games for offline play, 2cfw "virgin" for playing my original modules online?
one question still:
should i update my ofw with conjournx to 7.0.1 or only the emunand? (are all fw on switch region free, i only found THE FIRMWARE but no difference between EU, USA etc) if so, how do i seperate them with the updates? my ofw 4.0.1 still does not have exfat support. (is exfat still bugged with emunand and games?)
thx for the help!
