Hacking Nintendo Switch Banning Hub & Warning

When trying to make a clean nand backup, I booted into atmosphere not realizing sending the payload would boot straight into cfw instead of hekate. I accidentally booted into cfw twice but without doing anything and turning off the switch immediately. I made the nand backup after booting cfw twice.

I'm just wondering if restoring this nand would be risky or would i be better off restoring an old, clean nand.

Always go with the more clean NAND backup even if you burnt fuses. Can never be too safe.

Not 100% sure but I still think you're safe since you didn't do anything like using homebrew or installing nsp's when you booted to cfw.

It's clean but it's outdated. I've been online in ofw with it after I made it, even updating and stuff. Would you still recommend me restoring that nand?

No, that‘s not safe. If you restore an outdated backup, the log of your switch will be also outdated.

In a nutshell then, one who'd want to ping pong back and forth between cfw and clean ofw needs to make sure to take updated nand backups of their clean nand every time before using cfw to maintain as low a risk as possible of flagging themselves.

I'm on the same boat as you. I just think it's not worth the risk.

Since people ask and find my report to be bullshit and maybe lies, I wanted to update on my two switches that have used with CFW. 1 with day one of SXOS and the other a couple months. Both using two different CFW and both not banned. My main using SXOS with Emunand and the other with pure Atmosphere. The only usage of CFW was just to backup or restore saves that are modified or from another player with EdiZon. I have transferred saves from Emunand to Sysnand with themes left on the whole time but I boot back to OFW when I finish on Sysnand. I have used lots of XCI in the past and updated them but no longer since they're alot slower especially on a external harddrive. All my NSP are installed into Emunand now. Before Emunand, a nand backup has been created before any hacks and so I took the opportunity to install as many NSP as I wanted just as long as I had stealth mode on. Whenever I wished to play online, I restore my nand backup just to play online but that was until Nintendo started to charge you for online, I really didn't care much to play online anymore but still didn't want a ban. All that changed when I saw Emunand had the option for a hidden partition instead of just files in the sd. Being more safe than ever. Even on Emunand, I was scared stealth mode wouldn't be 100% with all these Nintendo patches coming in so I started to use 90DNS. I would've used Incognito but I had seen people say they were stealing certs for HBG discord which is not true. I was a fool to believe that. When I started to use it, I didn't care if my cert was to be stolen but soon I found out it wasn't taking certs at all and even with people reporting they've been banned after restoring. It was their fault they had red flags thrown on their Switch, not Incognito's fault. Soon after realizing I still haven't been banned, I started to not even worry at all. Maybe my methods use of CFW may be wrong or maybe its unbeatable and Nintendo can't really find a way to track the Album being used for homebrew. But who's to say Nintendo won't add a security that detects homebrew one day. We may never know as I use EdiZon/Checkpoint and choidujournx only and they modify alot of files within the Switch internal nand.

I gotta do more research. It's getting on my nerves. Everyone here says Nintendo don't banned accounts. My close friend account got banned and her console. "you can still login on 3DS and on Internet'' Her console got banned and her account. she can not go to eshop on 3DS or on internet. She didn't even hack at all which is even more annoying. Nintendo are banning innocent people here. She scare cause she thinks they're ban her new switch cause it's connected to same router. Is that possible? I doubt it. but I also doubted they ban nintendo account which Me and gbatemp were wrong about. I'm not banned btw which is weird cause I go online with hacks

Thats a weird one, can she still login on the nintendo website, if so then its a console ban only, and unless shes been ddosing nintendos servers, new switch should be fine, about games in account though, try logging in on the website.

Read what u said u mad cause we have proof and I can go in the Eshop and download games and updates so that means I’m not ban have good day and next if you use a ban account and use that on any Nintendo devices u asking for a ban on the other devices.now Nintendo does ban just anyone only if u hack mod so she did something. All I do is download nsp games and Play emulators.

Well I see a guy on the gbatemp discord saying he got an email saying he is banned from smash bros, did she get a email like that, that kind of does sound like an account ban. Again though see if you can sign in on the website, if so check if there's a email.

He only got a ban in Smash because of modified stats. That only gets him banned in that game and not the entire console

She can't go online. her Icon on the nintendo site is gone and they wont let buy anything on eshop. She deleted her account now. I wanted the account to see but it's gone

No i'm the hacker. I was online playing as Giga Bowser with her and she saved it as replay. She wanted go post it on Facebook but posted it in Smash World. Nintendo called her the hacker though. even though it's my fault. i bought her a new switch but she scared to go online. she deleted her account ''out of fear'' she got banned without hacking

she was banned for ''playing with a hacker'' Now Nintendo is just saying she's the hacker. Also apparently nintendo of america don't make the bans. Nintendo Japan does. She even recorded herself talking to nintendo. Nintendo were saying she modded her switch when she clearly didnt and she yelled at them. '' something doesn't add up'' that's Nintendo for you.
