Gaming SMG Storyline

How many of you actually thought the Super Mario Galaxy's storyline was passable?

For some reason, I thought that library aspect of the game was kinda sweet.
I mean the story is kinda heartwarming in that weird youthful bedtimestory non-pedophilic manner.

The colouring book drawings are also kinda cool.
I like it.

What do you guys think?
Same as Gamespot - Storyline doesn't tie everything well?
(Yeah, I'm 3/4 of the way and I want to share the amazing experience)

story was good. i wish it had a bit more to it, i thought it ended a bit suddenly.

Passable sure, but really the story is just window dressing for the orgasmic mind blowing jump fest that is SMG.

Who cares about the story, I went to the library once and tought I was going to die of boringness. SMG is a very good game, im glad the story isnt good, I hate to wait and read and read and wait and wait.... in mario games

Bowser abducts the princess.... Mario goes off to save her... the first dozen locations turn out to be decoys (Princess is in another castle/galaxy)...

Nope, sounds like classic Mario to me.

The Library is just a stupid background story, the main story is the same: Bowser kidnaps Peach -> Mario saves her.
However it's a great game, i'm at around 75 stars.

How about Nintendo get Alan Moore or Frank Miller to do the story for the next Mario platformer?

Story will probably be something like Daisy or Pauline have been raped by Waluigi (and theres me thinking he was a child molester). Luigi turns to heroine to try and cope with this as he could've stopped it.

Wario starts pimping the women of Mushroom Kingdom and with this money he is paying Bowser to protect Waluigi, so Mario has to hunt down Bowser to bring Waluigi to justice but just when he's about to torch Bowser with a fireball, Bowser lets out a secret that Waluigi is actually from the past and it turns out that he molested Mario after the events of Yoshi Island DS.

Mario turns his rage onto Waluigi hacking him to pieces with his sharpened Magic Flute and thus killing him. Through the chaos Bowser escapes.
