Please be more accurate on what you did. Where did you click "install updates" and "install DLC"? Also if you have connected your EmuNAND to the internet you can get banned. If you connected once to the internet with CFW Nintendo could have flagged you and ban you later in a banwave. Just stop going online now won't save anything.

When installing an NSP with SX Installer you can bring up a list of additional options, “install latest update” and “install DLC” are there. I’ve tried it again and even though it says “downloading” with a bar filling up, I don’t think it really is downloading, I think it’s just installing the files from the SD card. I’ll see if my sysnand survives.

If your EmuNAND doesn’t have an internet connection then it can’t download anything. Just check your internet settings.

Hey guys. I have searched all over but couldnt find a clear answer so sorry if it has been asked before:

I have installed emunand (files on sd type), updated my sysnand to latest and all is working perfectly fine but i need a bigger sd now. Is everything going to work if i just copy all contents from the old sd card to new one on a pc? i have no nsp installs on my emunand. Only XCIs and full games on my sysnand.

Thanks in advance.

No, you need to use a program like emuNANDtool to move the emuNAND partition to another SD card --- unless this "files on SD card" thing is a real new development I haven't heard of yet?

When creating emunand i chose the middle option "files on sd card". So my sd card shouldnt have a hidden partition or anything just files.

Thanks Cubuss!

I don't think so. It's like plugging your SD into another console. Content is encrypted specifically tied to your NAND. I don't think it works.

Not exactly. Still the same console, so it would be readable. The installed games, however, would not appear on the home menu though, because the tickets and entries were not installed on your sysnand.

Or you could join your emunand into single file (with HxD), flash it along with boot0/1 to your sysnand and simply move content from emutendo folder to nintendo. Carefull though as you may encounter fuse mismatch while booting to ofw.

Just got a Switch with appropriate serial #.
Booted with SX OS, jig, USB stick. Realized Switch is running 7.01. SXOS 2.6.2b.
Backed up SYSNAND to 32GB SDXC, Fat32. Put that aside for safekeeping, and made a copy in a few places. Zipped it.
Ran the emunand copy to a 128GB SDXC, Fat32. That's running now.

Once I've done this, I'll put a few XCI / NSP files (under 4GB only, it appears) in the root of the SDXC (88GB or so free, right?) and I'm in business?

If I want to have multiple SDXCs, I need to copy (it's just files, right) the 32GB EMUNAND stuff (the contents of the SDXC) onto the other SDXC, and then I'd put additional NSP/XCIs onto that second 128GB SDXC.

DId I get all of that right? What does everyone else do? One scenario is to have one 128GB SDXC chip with 88GB of games for portability, and have a cheap USB HDD with another 2TB of games directly on it.

Would that work? Is there a better way? (400GB SDXC, sure...)

I hope you have created the NAND backup before you booted with SX OS in SysNAND. Never run CFW on SysNAND if you want to keep it clean.
Sure you can use different micro sd cards but really... that would annoy me. Just buy a cheap HDD and put all your games on it. I don’t know if you use your switch for mostly mobile or dock. If you use your switch most of the times in handheld mode, a larger micro sd comes handy. If you use your switch most of the times in dock mode, buy a large hdd.

I've done that (backed up sysnand prior to any boots into any CFW).

So here's how it works:
Emunand takes about 32GB of the SDXC card. It's required. You WILL lose 32GB because of this on the SDXC card. Since SXOS boots from this, you can't remove this after putting it onto the SDXC.
Put the games you want to use while mobile on the SDXC.
Put everything else (the stuff you use less) on the HDD.

Thanks for the feedback.

Is there any reason to use a sx pro at all anymore, I have a launch on latest firmware. I see that I can mod without buying anything except maybe a jig and USB c cable. But if I don’t want to bother with that I’d the sx pro a more convenient route? I see that it’s tied to a specific console and probably in the future I’ll move to a cfw but he mean time is sx pro a good option for a launch switch on latest firmware.
