At one point it was just easier to add one to the counter at the end of my name and sign up again than to actually sign in. Then we got cookie logins.

There has to be someone who does this. They make a new account using a different device which is connected to a VPN, then they like their posts on their main account.
It's not like likes get you anything on here, so why even bother? It couldn't matter any less if you get 50 extra likes from some fake account, so if you got the time to even bother doing that, you need to get a life
The no double accounts thing is mainly to prevent spam and the like.

I have two accounts actually. The other one is @newing, which I temporarily used to regain access to this account after I had enabled 2FA on this account and stupidly decided to reformat my phone that had Google Authenticator for some unknown reason. This happened about 2 years ago and you can read about it here. After that, I never used 2FA again knowing how much I reformat and install shit on my phone. Also, I believe I am the only GBAtemp user that has had 2 accounts as of the moment and has not been banned (yet) for doing so.

I have no doubt there are more who have had the same 2FA problem. I remember at least two but not who they were.
Additionally, I'm pretty sure there's multiple undetected duplicate accounts out there at the moment, you can never be rid of the things on forums like this.
There's a few users that have had that happen. I'm pretty sure you could ask to have it merged to you, if you want.
But really, just use authy and KEEP YOUR BACKUP CODES PLZ. PLS.
Why the hell would you need more than one account? Seems like that type of thing would be against the rules anyway. Pointless.

Does Gmail still have the + alias thing they used to have? ([email protected] becomes [email protected] but still goes to yourname@, assuming the site even supports a + in an email then they don't always filter it off).
