At the end of the day, people pay for a product and expect it to work, and it does, when it doesn't, they'll jump up and down and make a big fuss about it. Then a new update comes out that fixes whatever is broken and they get that warm fuzzy feeling inside that the money they spent wasn't wasted. Then the circle of the TXOS life repeats itself.
I don't think the average Joe cares about all the bickering about TX, they just want the product to work, and when it doesn't, they don't care how it's fixed as long as its fixed.
Actually, that is from DZ, it's nothing TX gave. Blawar wants to go legit with his website and not let pirated content be installed with his software. So by entering the konami code you can again install pirated material.

Isn't that Konami code used to install unsigned or modified nsp files? That would be to force users to pay attention to what they're doing before installing a dodgy nsp file (like some of the brickers that were released in the wild). It would be surprising to have to enter this code every single time you want to install normal pirated nsp files. After all, we're talking about SXOS, which is designed from the ground up with piracy in mind.
