I’m telling you I have installed the update with the xci hdd/usb and it runs 100% perfect.
... update with XCI ... ???
You mean you've generated an XCI including the update?
Nice that it runs, but that hasn't been the problem here.
Unfortunately, you missed the topic.

There is a scene update released for monster boy cursed kingdom v1.0.2 it’s been out a while now. I installed it no issues and runs fine I cannot see why the nsp version of the full game would be any different. On firmware 6.1.0 with sxos it hasn’t been updated to run 6.2.0 yet.

Nice, I had no problems with Monster Boy, too.
No one askes about working NSPs, only not working ones.

I thought you was asking in your op that certain games don’t run under sxos below firmware 6.2.0 but they all run fine. That’s what I am saying. You also mentioned that you get errors installing nsp I answered your nsp files are probably corrupted downloading.

I understand, but that's wrong because the loader installer of SX OS makes mistakes, so some newer NSPs can't be installed the normal easy way, even patched ones.
Such files MUST have the use of Tinfoil for installation !!!
Generating a XCI with this problem updates is a totally different thing. I use XCI format only for huge games.
The rest will be installed on my 400GB microSD, that's so much more comfortable for quick starting.

I’m telling you I have installed the update with the xci hdd/usb and it runs 100% perfect. Conduct together just install it with n1dus it overwrites the firmware requirement and runs fine.
We're talking about SX installer. Also game uses keygeneration 6 so it'll work in 6.1 fine, and if N1dus overwrite works it'll work in 6.0. But the update requires keygeneration7 Wich is the masterkey6 introduced in 6.2. It won't serve you to just patch the Requiredsystemversion or in N1dus\tinfoil case create the placeholder with it at 0.

Yeah MonsterBoy is keygeneration5 I think to remember so actual needed FW is 5.0

It seems that Tinfoil doesn't work with USB HDD without Windows, just connected to the docking station usable with SX OS instaead of microSD as NSP source. Anyone a solution?
"Waiting for USB to be ready" ... endless.

Do you mean DZ Tinfoil? DZ works with USB HDD on dock mode.

Yeah, I want to use this blawar tinfoil, nice GUI with all the icons ^^
But it doesn't detect my NSP-files. They're located at the USB HDD in the docking station in usb:/nsp
But nothing under New Games / New DLC / New Updates.
Only one single game base appears at New Games, the other 12 files don't :(

The point <Console> gives this errors:
failed to open sxusb
failed to open sxusb (yes, it appears twice)

But the File Browser works, there I can watch the USB HDD content, the folders and all NSPs are on its place.

Sorry, my fault. Now I understand.
My NSP have been installed already, that's why they wasn't listed as "new".
I though it lists all included NSP files.
I deinstalled one game and after that it appears aswell.

BUT ... only as NEW Game. The update therefore isn't listed as New Update.
But if I click on the icon under New Game, the update is listed, too.
A little bit strange, this tinfoil.

I'm always offline in flight mode.
You can activate unsigned code from a game already installed if you entered in reinstall menu and then installing trough the browser.
About the .json. Is it inside the switch\dz\db folder?
Ah, ok. Your issue is because you use a subdirectory. If you look here it says it only scans the root directory automatically.
You'll need to add that one with a config file. There are templates in the program's GitHub to do it.
