I got it from that dark site... the same site where malicious nsp were uploaded and then removed...
Check the uploader's profile, see if he is well respected there.
The brick nsp was only up at that site for 13 minutes before mods killed the thread.
Everything there is probably safe now. Make a nand backup of your current fw just to be safe. But you are probably safe.
No, I mean open the switch and remove the SD CARD READER. not the sd card. Swap the reader from the switch that was hacked into the switch that you think it's patched. A lot of switches that have faulty sd card readers act just like a patched switch. So replace the sd card reader on your "patched" switch with the one from your bricked switch. got it?
The people behind the creation of the bricker, are currently talking about making a more "improved" version, with a delayed trigger.

I know a lot of people were jumping on Ka_Ninja yesterday and now morpheus9394 for jumping the gun on downloading an early Switch game.
On a certain website (that has been 100% trusted, so far in my opinion) has RPG Maker MV .xci game available to download, but when I checked Gamestop's website, they list the game coming out on March 1, 2019. So is it legit or not?
I guess I will sit back and see who else gets bricked, if its not legit. I'm not taking that chance on losing my save files

Unless every time you play a game, you save a game, you backup the game, run 1-2 hours worth of backup for every little thing, then repeat the same thing. Threat assessment mode every single time you turn on the Nintendo Switch on custom firmware. Not cool at all.

just to let you know if you have old dump, you can extract you PRODINFO.BIN and restore in your switch and FIX IT i tested miself
Yes, I try to do everything trying to get these Switches some way back. I'm even using one of my own Switches trying to fix this problem. This is actually how much I care even it doesn't look like it.

I can respect your position, and I will respect the fact that you attempted to have that said person fix the situation. However, that assistance has definitely lead to nowhere as that said person has now been caught red handed (again) unrepentant, without remorse, and even colluding with others to again attempt something not only just similar, but on a wider scale and a more nefarious scheme.
Your attempts to protect him, be it because of GBATEMP's position, or out of your volition, is wasted.
Till now, there is no actual way to reverse the so called "prank" at all. The only recourse for those whose Switch-es have been affected:
A) rebuild the NAND if they have a copy / back up of the boot0, boot1 and system. Which is, rebuild, NOT RESTORE.
B) for those without certain files, attempt to send it to Nintendo (which is easier said than done, and even then Nintendo) won't even probably provide assistance.
Yet he's only "suspended", and he's doing it again.
So tell me, are your efforts to protect him wasted? It sure does looking it from me. Affected users still remain affected and the culprit is gleefully prancing around.

The thing is, I haven't protected him at all. He wants to right what's been wrong, I seen the conversations of them. But be honest to me now, how would banning him here do anything? Send a signal? I'm try to be civil, protect users and the site.
