I found a weird thing that took me a while to figure out, while i was editing the blade's tab, i went in to change some stuff on Pyra, went on the ''Other'' tab and double clicked on her name, doing this the value of ''BladeArtsExH'' and ''BladeArtsExH2'' messed up, went from 100 on both, to 3 and 0, resulting on her special LV 4 (Burning Sword) doing crap damage (Example: i was doing like 10 000~15 000 dmg, now i am doing 10-100 dmg lol) i am trying to revert the values, but i can only change the ''BladeArtsExH2'' to the default value, i need to edit both values, if someone manage to ''fix'' this, please let me know.

Great to hear that updates are coming.

I also hope that for the benefit of inept users like me some of the brilliant minds of GBATemp could make tutorials/guides, especially for popular but confusion functions such as successfully editing affinity charts, modifying blade attributes, and checking flags (to add rare blade cinematics, etc).

Was this some sort of stat editing? b/c anything regarding to stat changing is permanent you'll have to fall back on a backup save at this point

i tried to actually edit your pyra manually but i seem to unable to actually edit it as it wont save but ill try to see what i can do.

It's a bug. You can't fix it with the current version unless you get the source code and fix it yourself. It's an rather easy fix once you know what you are looking for and you have to modify the read only boxes. I took your save file and fixed the numbers, but obviously didn't test it. It's late for me, I can get into more detail later, but hopefully this will fix it for you. If this is not your current save file, point me to it.

EDIT: Probably affecting anyone who looked at the blade data and was clicking like a lunatic in the blade list, you don't have to edit anything to be affected. It is not limited to just Pyra.

BTW i was indeed clicking like a lunatic lol, yeah not just Pyra, every blade that you double click in the blades tab will probably be with the same problem that i was having. I tried importing a ''normal'' Pyra form another savefile, downloaded the first release of the editor too, and changing some stuff via HxD, but resulting in the same problem. Also, if you add some key items, could result in the same problem, its a really annoying bug.

Nope, i was just clicking in the Blades data stuff, and the result was me having a weak LV4 Pyra Special, i noticed this waaay later in the story because i was only with Mythra for a while, and when i changed to Pyra to do a elemental finish, i saw her LV4 special damage doing like 100 DMG to a elite with fire weakness, after trying to see what could be the problem, i only noticed the BladeArtsExH and BladeArtsExH2 value being different on Pyra from the other Blades (Mostly because she was the first in the list, and i double clicked her name resulting in the wrong value, went from both 100 to 3 and 0, it was my first time using the editor) and i had no luck when i was trying to revert the values back to normal. With the fix of TheBootedCat, now her LV4 Special is not weak anymore thank God lol.

no problem but for some reason i can't really open your save with my switch ..i dunno switch dlc im missing, i haven't been active with xenoblade for a while

It’s probably the update 1.5.2 you have to have that and 2.0 installed. I was having a similar issue.

You can mess up your blades by just double clicking on their tab? I don't think I did that but now I'm a bit paranoid about having messed some up the time I checked out the blade section of the editor a while ago lol

Good to hear that your save file is saved. :D

For anybody that would like to know if his/her blade values are correct:

Open your save file and go into
Blades > click the blade you would like to check > Other:
BladeArtsExH and BladeArtsEx2H should be 100. AFAIK this applies to all legendary blades, common blades have different values.
If you have the bug, the values of BArtExId and BArtEx2Id are set in BladeArtsExH and BladeArtsEx2H. For example Pyra would have 3 and 0, Mythra 4 and 0 and so on.

I could make an official issue in the authors repository, but I don't have an account there. So here's what you need to change in order to fix the bug:

The bug does no longer occur with these changes (at least for me, I haven't checked everything), but in order to change the already broken values you need to enable the NumericUpDown in the GUI. I could upload my modded executable if somebody needs it. But I don't know if that is allowed, forum or license wise. It seems that FlynnScifo is the only one who got this problem.

Here you go. In your case almost all blades are bugged. I tried to fix the common ones but I only changed BladeArtsEx2H to 100. BladeArtsExH is varying for common blades and I don't know what happens if you change that value. I looked at some other save files and at least BladeArtsEx2H seems to be always 100 even for common blades.
