Still get the error. Also I forgot to mention all steps I took before posting here. After copying files to sd card I forgot to install 2 cias and changed theme to acecard. Properties menu showed but nothing was there, than I changed theme to black and after trying to open properties menu got Guru meditation error. Than I remembered that I forgot to install cias, installed them but still got the error.
After that I tried to change Acecard themes, disable icon zoom for Acecard theme, switch clock option to 24 but still got this error.

First photo - went up 1 time and re-entered the directory with nds roms and tried to launch rom.
Second photo - went all way up and went back to the directory with nds roms and tried to launch rom.
Third photo - went up 1 time and re-entered the directory with nds roms and tried to open properties menu.

UPDATE: It started to work by itself :wtf: Even game icons appeared in game list (but not in smallest list (press 2 times select)). But after I launched the game and returned to DSiMenu++ this error started to appear again. Now I get this error randomly. Sometimes I can open properties menu but in most cases I get this error. Also every time I try to launch ROM I get this error.

UPDATE2: I decided to do some research on how Acekard skins are built to make MonHun Gen skin. After I switched to Hatsune Miku skin to see fullscreen "start" menu everything started to work as it should. WTF?
UPDATE3: Tried to launch DSiMenu++ once again - error came back. Error codes are same as on photos.

This happened to me once, here’s how I fix it
Remove the cart in slot 1
Boot into dsimenu++[it won’t show error anymore]
Open any nds games
Reboot
Replugin your cart
Now it won’t show error any more

Instructions (No flashcard, 3DS/2DS users)
  1. In the 7z file, extract the "_nds" and "cia" folders, and the "boot.nds" file, to the SD Card root.
  2. Put .gb/.gbc/.nes/.nds ROMs anywhere on your SD card.
  3. Enable game patching in Luma settings, if you have Luma CFW.
  4. Install all 2 CIAs in the "cia" folder.
NOTE: If you're using EmuNAND, then install them to SysNAND as well.
  5. IMPORTANT!: Install DSiMenu++ Launcher, and launch it.
    DSiMenu++ Launcher will launch DSiMenu++ on 3DS/2DS.
  6. Set some settings (Boot screen, Notif LED, etc.) to your preference.
  7. Select "Start DSiMenu++".
Is point #3 still necessary for users running the latest nightly of Luma 3DS?
I noticed that the issue you opened in Luma's repo was closed some days ago:
https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/issues/1095

Which is why I'm asking if users with the latest nightly of Luma still require game patching enabled for that to work.

Holding R + L + Down + B gives me an exception on Luma3DS.
Exception type: prefetch abort (svcBreak)

This happens everytime with every game I've tried. I can provide the stack dump if required.

I would say so. That setting was a workaround for the crash.... see below

See above post, #3 Enable game patching in Luma settings, if you have Luma CFW.

Or I guess, switch to the latest luma nightly. I recommend staying on the latest stable though, and simply enabling game patching in luma's setting.

I just wanted to say, incredible job you guys! compatibility is very good! I can play most games I wanted simply flawlessly!
I'm amazed at how good compatibility is
can we expect even better compatibility in the future?

also, I'd love a ds cartridge ripper baked into the main launcher app that would be very handy! for our personal backups and save data backups

edit: how serious.is the GBA runner sd corruption issue btw? because if it happens like that maybe it'd be better to not have it at all, someone inexperienced might lose everything

No and no.
The R4 Ultra is the only flashcard supported with the "switch to flashcard" feature, and other flashcards may not be compatible with the feature anytime soon.
Just tossing out there, but you only need to get one of the R4-SDHC carts (r4i-sdhc.com/R4iSDHC.com brands) working and the rest will work as well. They are all literally the same chipsets. Just wanted to mention that.
As well they only several other "brands" that also use the same chips and thus means those will work too, if you figure out how to get it working.

delete bootcode from the root of your sd cart
Actually, sounds like he's using a 3DS.

Hold select to go into the launcher menu.

Also, is Moonshell2 going to be a thing on DSM++?
One can already run Moonshell2 using DSiMenu++, except that it has to be on a flashcard.
If you're referring to on the SD card, then that and other pre-DSi/DSiWarehax homebrew are low priority, so it is unknown when it'll be supported.

'Last played ROM on startup' doesn't work for me, when I turn on my DSi, it always bring the ROM select menu. Did I miss something?

Oh.. And one more question, can I make the ROM from flashcart appear in dsimenu++? It's just a little annoying boot to slot 1 because the loading time..

That option doesn't work for users outside of DSiWarehax, though I can fix that for the next version.

You can switch between SD and flashcard instead of launching the Slot-1 card, though that feature only works for the R4 Ultra.
For other flashcards to be supported, I think their DLDI drivers may need rewrites to avoid having to initialize the flashcard by launching it.
