My Joycons are working just fine for me. The left one has had trouble connecting at times, but they seem to be solid controllers for me. Maybe I'm just really lucky. :/
Looks like someone never used a Wiimote + Nunchuck before.the joy-cons are probably the most unreliable controller nintendo has ever produced as a manufacturer
the wii remotesand nunchucks I own have been to hell and back and still workLooks like someone never used a Wiimote + Nunchuck before.
I agree that the Joy-Con is a silly controller, but i use it mainly for games required motion, most of the time I'm using SF30 Pro.
so has anyone tried sending their joycons in for repair?
do they fall under warranty?
considering the joycons use a weird build with a spring, i could see them eventually giving out to some degree, maybe if they're used very unevenly?
though minor drift should be fixable for a while with recalibration
that guy on youtube suggests it might be dust collecting in and around the sticks
he fixed his drifting with one of those dryer sheets, but any cloth should do. as always, blowing in might just make things worse
no it's a 12 month warranty. All Nintendo products have it. Note it doesn't protect against physical/liquid damage. But the issues everyone is talking about are covered (drift, Joy Con sliding off, wireless problems).I remember reading this somewhere, but I think things like controllers only carry a 3 month warranty. I think this includes software as well. it's only the system that's a year.

l've gotten through 2 pairs of joycons just malfunctioning out of the blue themselves, the common symptom between both pairs, joystick ghosting, the joy-cons are probably the most unreliable controller nintendo has ever produced as a manufacturer, I've given up hope on getting another pair until the usual nintendo console "Redesign" with better joy-cons, or atleast a 80$ controller that doesn't break on itself, probably gonna get 8bitdo until that happens.
I guess they consider controllers a system, just got mine repaired under warranty, it's been 9 months since I got them.https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/manuals/warrantyinfo.jsp

it may cover controllers that come with the system.
Could be thatI've never personally sent anything in for repair, so I'm not sure. if the controller came with the system, it may still be covered. that 3 month warranty may only be for games and things like the pro controller. it's somewhat vague.
