Curious about the banning of Switches.
First off! I never created a Nintendo account for my Switch and I'm still able to update .xci files along with being able to view tutorial videos when I'm in OFW without TX OS Pro installed. I basically been using TX OS Pro from the day I got it and I'm also using three separate Micro SD Cards on my Switch.
1st. SD Card for .xci Game Files "When I install any .xci file via PC to the SD Card for the first time I go ahead and enable WiFi to do a game update on OFW before I open or play the game. Then once completed I enable Airplane Mode once again".
2nd. SD Card For HomeBrew "The Switch stays in Airplane Mode all the time. I always download emulators with a PC then I manually install the emulators to the SD Card by using a PC".
3rd. SD Card for .nsp Game Files "When I install any .nsp file via PC to the SD Card for the first time I go ahead and enable WiFi to do a game update on OFW before I open or play the game. Then once completed I enable Airplane Mode once again".
I only downloaded and installed 2 games in .nsp format via PC to the SD Card and was able to update 1 game with the Switch and the 2nd game didn't require an update.
As far as newly first time installed .xci game files I'm still able to update them with no issues what so ever. Once I play any .xci game I never attempt to update it again...
I know there are post about consoles being banned just by one single .nsp or .xci files being updated. But for what I hear! It's usually the big ban if messing around with .nsp files.
I won't be doing anymore .nsp file updates via OFW! Maybe in the near future when things better improve. I'll just Google .nsp updates and I'll manually install them myself so I remain on Airplane Mode at all times.
Since I never created an account on my Switch and I'm still able to confirm my OFW v5.1.0 along with being able to connect to WiFi while being in OFW. I really don't know if my console is still alive from any sort of ban wave.
Since I'm not planning to create a Nintendo account anytime soon! I guess the only way I'll know if my Switch ever got banned is if it were to get hit with the big ban. Then I'll know for sure that my console has been completely banned...
PS
Even though I never setup an account on my console! I'm sure Nintendon't keeps some sort of history on their servers that contain every consoles keys and S/N. In the event a ban were to come my way? Then be it! As long as is not the big ban...
