yes keep telling yourself that man, I guess you were there too, gw hater
God I hate you GW fanboys who have their dick shoved so far up your ass. I didn't even say anything negative about GW in this thread. You're just salty because you're wrong and you know it.

Well, if you'd hurried it the hell up, maybe TX wouldn't have bee so popular. But whilst the scene babies were whining and moaning and playing all "I have too many morals to release a backup loader" someone took their thunder.

Again, Gateway was in a similar situation to TX. Now with free and open-source alternatives, Gateway hasn't provided support in years. Now I'm not saying TX will stop supporting their product like Gateway because they've got a better reputation and history, but being first doesn't always equal the best.

Cool and awesome. I'd be fine if they were stealing code if the product was free, but it isn't.
The CFW is free, the backup loader is not. AFAIK the stolen code isn't in the backup loader. :x

Okay, so apparently I have to explain this comment. Since people love connecting imaginary dots for no reason at all. Notice how he said-

I'd be fine if they were stealing code if the product was free, it isn't.

I was being facetious and pointing out that the CFW is free and the backup loader was not. I never mentioned, implied or even remotely hinted at that being an exception to the rule. Seriously, this forum.

Gateway was spotty with support since its birth.

Scene "babies" as you call them are at least producing something that tries to be fair to everyone (including Nintendo) while trying to involve a whole community.

Their "moral" is what keep a scene running legally. If you wonder why not everything is always released for the public look no further, it's because of TX behavior and comments like yours.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
