I don't see the error message.

EDIT: Oh, the error is the first line lol

Also what's the type of the SD card?

Transcend 64GB SDXC UHS3 95/60MB's R/W originally my SLR camera's card. But figured i could use the cam's card until i get a 128GB card for the wii-u

I know, used guiformat to format it with. That's when i got the message. (also how my 3ds uses a 128GB micro)

I did the same with a SDXC and couldn't boot Coldboot, I switched to a SDHC and it worked perfectly, maybe that's the issue....

It says that any size will do as long as it's fat32. And since i ain't got a 32GB, only 64GB which even is recommended for us with 32GB wii-u, then i have no other choice.

Do you have homebrew_launcher.elf in that folder? The .rpx will not work I think.

Where do i get the elf version? The launcher only came as a rpx

HBL 1.4 has it.

As the guide instructs: Download the latest version of HBL here. Don't download the Channel version, instead download "homebrew_launcher.v1.4.zip" (Under the section "Release v1.4").

I didn't download the channel version. And it was the 2.1 launcher that had the RPX for some reason :S

Anyways thanks, will try again with the wood elf ;)

Btw, what's the trick to not let the console freeze with the browser exploit?

2.1 is the latest version of channel. 1.4 is the latest launcher. That's why it (2.1) has only rpx.
There is no trick with exploit to get it run every time, only patience and retries until it hits.

Yeah. So after the backup of my nand, how do i use the channel, and where on the sdcard do i put it?

CAn i stay in the HBL while i eject the sdcard to put on more launcher apps to launch without having to do the same tiresone retries until it hits? do i have to do the web exploit every time? Or do i now have a HBL on the "desktop" now?

If you dont have HaxChi then you'll have to go through the browserhax any time you want to install a new title or play any homebrew apps. Also if you install non legit DLC for a game it wont work without CFW which youll have to use Mocha for which youll need browserhax again.

Really it's just much easier to install HaxChi and use it for CFW.

You can't install the HBL channel without first being in some form of CFW

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
