I really just wanted to get in and try out all the changes that have been made to the Smash Mod I've followed (Which got me into Homebrew on the Wii U in the first place.) I am going to get a copy of brain age for sure, but I just wanted to get a taste of what is to come. What I've gathered now is that I have to run Mocha, *then* get the exploit to run again to get back into HBL, so that I can run the installer for the HBC... *THEN* it will only take booting mocha, which I have had successful on the first go just about every time I've tried it since we last posted on here.

I know that the whole BrainAge Haxchi thing is literally *THE* best option, but I don't have the 7 bucks to poop out for a copy right now, and I'm very content with getting into my smash mod *ONCE* to just see what I've been missing out on since the 5.5.2 update, as I was not aware of the modding community or Haxchi or CBHC or *any* of that goodness up until a couple months prior to the Nintender Ninja update to 5.5.2.

I hope that clears up what I'm getting at

EDIT: Or are you trying to get haxchi working withot a ds vc game? Because if that's the case than no there isn't a way to do this without Brain Age or any other Haxchi compatible title (Brain Age being the cheapest though.)

I'm just trying to get Mocha to boot, so I can install the Homebrew Channel, so that I can run my smash mods.

That's it.

I know Haxchi needs the DS VC title to install to, so that it replaces the title with Haxchi and then you can get the Cold Boot and go from there. All the steps for running MODS or Homebrew in general are up on the 'official' guide page for doing this without a DS VC title. I'm not trying to do something that's impossible, I'm just trying to do something that is highly RNG based, with the odds being extremely low apparently xD

EDIT: It did take two boots of the Browser Exploit to get HBL to come up again after running Mocha. We're almost there, ladies and gents... I'll let you know if I've been successful using the poor man method. I sill get in the first time every time when trying to boot Mocha, it was just the second attempt after running Mocha that was screwing me. I'm using the cg.stupiid.ovh version Delta 1, if that counts for anything.

EDIT 2: I got it to install the HBC, but not the WUP Gx2... Time for infinite restarts once more. Also, the stupiid.ovh Delta 0 has yielded no results for me thus far, so I'm not so sure it works the same for everyone.

I'm talking about the entrypoint, the stagefright exploit by yellows8.

It was released the same day as 5.5.1.

Just self host the latest files with python 2 and in the payloads folder go Exploit right click notepad and search var delta = 0x00000000 ( can be 01 02 03 04 ) i upload my files juste take it and self host that worked 100 % for me

So far, I've experienced 55% success rate when self-hosting (with XAMPP) the latest version (98f72d5), 15% success rate when accessing http://stupiid.ovh (default delta) and 0% success rate when accessing http://loadiine.ovh (default delta).

Guys many thanks it finally worked third try on my wiiu 5.5.2 E, I followed several guidelines here, the commit hash is 98f72d5ecd6b2a851ebb9472912352520a6f6559, the homebrew launcher is 1.4, I hosted it using apache2 that comes builtin with MacOS. I waited around 45 seconds after loaded the index.html shipped with WiiUTest. @JmpCallPoo I owe you big time. Many thanks!!!

given this thread is so cluttered - I tried pulling out the steps I posted earlier and the ones I followed with 100% success at selfhosting (after 0% success with web hosting)... I also found Mongoose to be far easier and more reliable to setup than python;.. can you try the steps here and let me know how you get on?:

Hello guys,

I am testing this method to help a friend of mine, my sysnand is in 5.5.1 and my emunand in 5.5.2, I am testing in rednand with IOSHAX and using the host http://stupiid/ovh and of the 5 times I tried , The 5 entered, is it because I'm in a rednand with IOSHAX or have no relation and the success rate is already high?

Figured I'd give a small update since my last post. I bought Brain Training (Brain Age for Americans), got into the homebrew menu first try (FUCK YEAH!), installed Haxchi over Brain Training and it worked flawlessly. It seems my speculation on the previous game I was using was the problem (was trying to use Pokémon Ranger for those that are curious since it is on the list of supported games).

Can't get this to work to save my life tonight. Hosting on my own webserver, using different Deltas, using u.drg.li and it's deltas... NOTHING....

I boot up, open browser, goto settings, reset save data, go back into browser, go to u.drg.li, choose fast, choose a delta, freezes (no white freeze, just normal), reset console. I have been repeating this for awhile now....

Edit: EVERY SINGLE TIME (2 for 2 so far) I post on here, I get in. Just went to u.drg.li after resetting settings on browser, chose fast, chose exploit instead of Delta, and BOOM, white screen.... Still stuck on white though....

Edit 2: Yeah, infinite grey/white screen over my mi dude. This isn't fun tonight...

Edit 3: Yeah, stupid user error. I made anotehr SD card because I got a 16gb one from friend, wasnt FAT32. That makes a difference.... what a dummy....

Trying to selfhost but whenever i goto type in my DNS into the url on my wiiu it just sends me to the nintendo search engine.

You need to type http:// before the IP number.

How do you host the files (and which files?)? What do you have in your SD Card?

SD card was a new one i just got from a friend, was NTFS. After changig to FAT32, I can now get to u.drg.li and choose fast method then exploit and it gets in rather quick. Will work on rehosting files later, but I have my owv server in my house with external IP's, and I just through a DNS entry out and made it accessible via IIS. I will work on that after I get some games installed for my kid

i typed the https;// and then my ip, it just loads for a long time and then say could no display page
