Hacking You can now use an old DS to flash NTRBoot flashcarts

I'm a nail biter so I don't have any nails lol, but I've got a tiny pocket knife and tested it before trying to flash it to see if I could get the SD card out without taking out the flash card and it worked.
Wouldn't this only work for DSi and 3DS if you have an R4i Gold 3DS RTS cart? Because the Acekard2i was blocked on DSi and stock 3DS firmwares and doesn't show up to launch.
Haven't gotten to try it yet. Got a phone call and got preoccupied. Trying now if I can find my sd card...

It get stuck in this weird loop where it keeps showing different hardware versions and when I press a it shows a different version...
The weird thing to is that when I shut down my 3ds and reset the flash carts still works fine and I can go into the menus and relaunch the flasher and everything...

Go back to page one. OP explains why but basically it renders your flash cart unusuable until you reflash the original flash cart firmware with an already hacked 3ds iirc.

there's the reasons why it wasn't working. At least he said he'd look into making a version for the 3ds. But just because he's looking into it DOES NOT MEAN it's going to work. There's probably a 2% chance of him being able to find a solution as I doubt he'll look into it that long. I still appreciate very much for his cooperation and for looking into it!

- I said just use DS/DSL. it means project officially support only these devices, not dsi and 3ds
- original dsi flasher also uses different command flag for checking chipid.
- dsi flasher did not use flashcart swap, it makes more risk chance bricks
- I haven't dsi, and also haven't plan purchases dsi. so I cannot test this devices type & cannot handle all issues.
- no one succeeds in the thread, but is this buggy?

by risk bricks, does that mean brick the cart or brick the DS? If its a cart-brick, we can fix that with ntrboot_flasher. And if its a DS brick....we have NTRBoot xDHere's what @d3m3vilurr said on GitHub:

I would assume bricking the flash cart. But the whole point of using this supposed method would to not have to have a second already hacked 3ds or powersaves, so if the end user was trying to do this with only one 3ds they'd effectively be screwed if their flash cart bricked and would have to buy a new one or get someone else to reflash the firmware for them.
The plot thickens. It just flashed the cart, although my system was already hacked. 11.5 o3ds USA.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
